Highly likely they went into the PO to send it and were told to put their address on the back.0 -
hello - received my posting pack for week commencing 26th May 2014.
I have two jiffys which dont have their stamps on- posting schedule says they should be stamped at £3.20.
I have emailed to see what to do, has this happened to anyone before? Took them nearly 2 weeks to reply to my last email!
thanks xMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
You might have an envelope in there with "reimbursement".
I had that this week and there were £4 of vouchers to compensate for me having to pay for stamps.0 -
I felt like a total idiot today - I had to go to the Post Office to pay to send a box.
The address it was being sent to was less than 50 yards from the Post Office!0 -

Not really.
At least it means that the parcel would be returned to that address (if it is genuine) if it didn't reach you - and thus your address would not be compromised by RM having to open the jiffy to see if an address was inside.
As 3010 says, the sender may have been instructed to put their name and address on the back by the Post Office. After all, it is the correct thing to do if you are sending "real life" mail.0 -

I once had to leave a card for a recorded do not bend letter(photos)
The photographers shop was 5 doors down.
Even worse,I had to take it to the shop when the customer didnt collect it!0 -
The PO have made me write my return details on big items in the past, it would look suspicious if you refused I think.0
