Royal Mail Surveys rewarded with Stamps.

Each week I have a jiffy bag or two to post...the ones with the blank white paper and piece of cardboard to bulk them out (and I am leaving the paper and cardboard in...unlike some!). These are always stamped either £3 1st class or £2.60 2nd class, the cost of posting a small parcel. However these jiffy bag items do fit through the hole for a large letter (I've got one of the mail sizing guides they have in Post Offices) and with the item weighing usually a tad over 100g the correct postage is £1.20 1st class or £1.10 2nd class. They are large letters not small parcels and as such it's not a true measure of the postal system.0

With regards to the upfront £3 to pay in a Post Office to post a small parcel I don't really feel I want to convert my £3 cash into a £3 Love2Shop voucher which is effectively what is being asked.0

I can understand that viewpoint. I guess the eventual (one hopes!) £2 voucher would compensate for the inconvenience.
However, [STRIKE]as long as not all your grocery shopping is done on-line, they are easy to spend - Sainsbury's, Morrisons,[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]WHSmith,[/STRIKE] Wilkinsons [STRIKE]all [/STRIKE]take them (and often have very reasonable prices on everday necessities like household cleaning materials) along with many others of course. Interesting. By the way, do you think that over recent months they have reduced the size of the jiffy bags they are using? IIRC earlier on they were not so easy to get through my letter box apperture and there doesn't seem to be a problem now.0 -

I'd rather give up £2.70 worth of stamps every week than allow TNS to decide where I can spend my money and have no real idea when it's going to happen, so I'm bowing out of this one. Good luck to everyone who continues to stick it out though - I really do hope it pays off for you.
I'm one of those just finishing my 6-month "on" and don't recall being asked about new procedure re obtaining postage labels. It will be interesting to read this thread over the next few months to see how more people experience it.0 -
WH Smith and Wilkinsons take the vouchers - Sainsburys and Morrisons do not, there are no supermarkets other than Iceland that take these vouchers. Apologies for getting it wrong about the supermarkets.
"Senior moment" as I was thinking about Luncheon Vouchers being accepted by supermarkets (and, of course, WHS and Wilkos don't accept luncheon vouchers even where they sell sandwiches etc.) 0 -
I have just received a email to ask if I would be interested in "GOING LIVE" again on the Royal Mail Postal Panel at the end of March. Then about 1 hour later I received another email with a invite to do CORRECTLY DELIVERED MAIL at the end of March for 2 weeks. I phoned them and I was told that you can take part in both events at the same time.:j0

Both the correctly delivered and the unaddressed mail surveys can be completed whilst resting and in conjunction with your normal posting whilst on the active panel...
Its a great way to still earn some incentive whilst not taking part part in the full panel...and can soon add up...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
