If the pack you have received is the one from TNS with all the envelopes etc to be sent out to other people then you don't need to register it as a received item. The R number will be on a piece of paper inside an envelope that is posted out to you from another panellist, and that is when you log in and register it as received. HTH xx

Thank you TanH, I was about to give up.
  • Hi, I applied to join and it said I had been accepted.

I expected some sort of guidance pack or email but instead all I received was letters with 'Smarts' in them and also some envelopes.

It's as if I've started blind and I'm not sure what to do. I've logged into my account and read through the training section but I'm still a bit puzzled.

I'm worried that I'm not keeping up with the requirements.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Keep going, you will get there!

My brother in law has just started and is experiencing very similar to yourself. He phoned them and they eventually sorted it out. Apparently many new beginners are finding the same.

I would give them a ring or email. Their details are

Sounds as though they are more disorganised than ever. Returning regulars are having to complete the training and newbies are not being properly informed.

I was called back for retraining and even that is hit & miss. Have had 2 weeks, then gap, 1 week and now nothing for next week.

Glad I have a correctly delivered survey coming up to keep me sane.

I've got my notice that my six months is up and to be honest I'm not sorry. Sometimes I would get seven items to post in a week.

I've got my name down for a correctly delivered survey next month - they're good to do as you get a £5 voucher for just entering info online.

It was an interesting experience

    Hi cherie1122

I agree with you. I've been resting and having been doing the Unaddressed Mail plus Correctly Delivered surveys-so easy.

Not looking forward to going back to posting and receiving as much seems to have changed-a lot more to post but the stamps are handy.:)

Ditto I have had 2 weeks re-training, nothing next week but have received posting pack for w/c 17/2. Currently doing unaddressed and starting a correctly delivered tomorrow

Having been on the survey for quite a few years I get more confused with what is going on over recent months. It used to be straight forward with the mail I received and posted, plus getting correct information from them first time.
My latest query is a new one though. Completed my last 6 month period two weeks ago and received the books of stamps plus presentation set together with the usual letter saying I may be invited back in 6 months if there is a vacancy in this area. Today, after 2 weeks of not posting or receiving any survey mail I see online that I am scheduled to post 3 items w/c 17th February. Have tried telephoning them at least a dozen times today but get the recorded message to email the query. Oh well, will try again tomorrow to try to see if I am rested or not.

I've been with them for years as well, but lately there's nothing but mishaps - had no intensives/stamps sent since December, being asked to insert a smart I don't have in test mail, postal pack missing ... the list goes on, I NEVER get an answer on the telephone, today I've e-mailed to tell them to remove me - it's just now worth it...... bring back the lovely Joanne who always solved the rare problems in the early days!
