Ah - the section which also says, "Panellists converted from forms to Internet data entry do not need to complete & return forms any longer! " That particular tip must be at least five years out-of-date whereas the one about adding the barcode is only a couple.
You get used to TNS in the end!0 -

Coincidentally I have just finally heard from TNS about the extended participation in the survey, got the following email:
Dear Panellist,
Thank you for your response regarding continuing your participation in the Royal Mail Performance Review.
Unfortunately, due to a significant response to our email, the slots in the required postcodes are now full.
You may be contacted again in six months’ time to be rotated back onto the survey, if slots become available in your area. In the meantime, if we require any further assistance from you or if any slots become available before, we will contact you again.
Hope its not going to be six months asI was due to start the survey again in April in any event - why are they continually asking for more panellists when they don't have slots for existing (and trained) ones? The old adage about p-ups and brewerys springs to mind whenever I think of TNS2020 Wins:

RM make no mention of this on their website (or if they do it's very well hidden), but there seems to be no reason why they shouldn't be used in this way.
http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/community/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=58591stamps are Royal Mail money
worth the value at current time of posting
When an item comes into the UK,RM arent checking postage
So why would other countries
Thank you Custardy & Doc for your help and replies. I was asking because the person at the P.O. refused to accept my small parcel for sending abroad unless i would purchase postage from him. He was very rude and told me off for putting those stamps on it. I always use these to make up the money for UK recorded and have no fear that items will arrive but i was worried about things going astray if sending abroad. Doc that link will be very useful, i'll see who else i can talk to as they are telling off some of my elderly neighbours, very rude and inefficient when doing the passport check for people and then blatantly lying about the postage . Wish there was a section on the survey to report their behaviour!!!
Thank you all for all the other useful info too :T0 -

Thye most certainly can be used for international post. They can be used for ANY Royal mail service (including PO Box setup, keepsafe etc.) and i believe they can also be used for parcelforce worldwide services now as parcelforce prices appear on the April 2013 stamp prices wallchart.
As for the behavior of the post office staff this should be reported to Post Office Limited for investigation.0 -
Hello
I am after some information if known. I have received a survey invite where I will receive 6 - 10 pieces of mail per week for about 5 weeks and I have to check each against pictures and record details etc.
To record each piece each day would naturally take some time and the reward is stated as a £5 voucher after completing all the weeks surveys for all post. This seems a lot of effort for £5 voucher. I was under the impression that previous individuals completing surveys were given stamps to use as an incentive to fill in a return each day. My question is has that finished now and is the current survey just the £5 at the end of the project?
Many thanks for any information0 -

it literally takes 5 minutes a week to do, generally the leaflets come with the post and usually once a week, so no different to checking through the post and chucking the leaflets away xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Is it the Unaddressed (Door to Door/D2D) survey? If it is, check whether you need to record the count of unaddressed mail for 5 weeks or only 3 with a further 2 weeks in case any of the expected items are received outside those first 3 weeks.
To record each piece each day would naturally take some time and the reward is stated as a £5 voucher after completing all the weeks surveys for all post. Anything takes "some time" but the Unaddressed Mail survey means you simply count the odd things which are delivered to your house and then logging on to the TNS site and entering the count each day - or you can do it as a weekly total so only once a week. It doesn't take long really. That's in addition to recording the expected items where you have pictures to identify them. This seems a lot of effort for £5 voucher. The amount of work involved in getting the stamp incentives is much more. If you don't want to do the work for the £5 Love2Shop voucher, don't do it. I was under the impression that previous individuals completing surveys were given stamps to use as an incentive to fill in a return each day. That is a different survey, one where you both send and receive items - posting at post boxes and post offices a number of days a week and the incentive is worth just over £10 for a month. My question is has that finished now and is the current survey just the £5 at the end of the project?

Hi I am taking part in the unadressed mail survey. Last time I did it while emailing Claire from TNS for help I was told that I need to return my unaddressed mail at the end of each week in a plastic envelope. I am taking part again and cannot find any reference to this practice in any of the emailed or online instuctions. I emailed TNS again to clarify and Claire again said that yes I do need to send them to them. I havnt recieved any plastic envelopes and I am not sure that Claire is giving me the correct info. Does anyone know If they have to be sent back?0
