Bought my OH's early July, using her Virgin SIM.
Bought mine last Sunday on a Virgin upgrade,£59.95. Put an Ovivo Sim in it no problem. Unfortunately Vodafone signal in my house is poor but otherwise OK.
Just prior to buying this I bought an Alcatel but when the Google apps started updating it ran out of memory. So took it back and got the Y300, it has more memory.
There is a long thread on here about the Y300 started by LouLou, search this forum for it.

Yes, I told her she was :rotfl:

But seriously she wanted a phone with a keyboard rather than the basic phones method of inputting text. The Y300 with it's 4 inch screen fitted the bill. She does not bother with too many apps but I played about with it and thought for a basic cheapish phone it could not be bettered.
As I said earlier initially I bought a different phone (only to be different) but quickly realised it's shortcomings in the memory department. If you read the reviews of the cheaper phones most of the negatives are about memory.
The Y300 cannot be compared with the £300-£400 phones as regards memory but seems to be a step up from the very basic ones.

I'll be moving from a BB Curve to a touchscreen.
Apart from the obvious calls and text, I check bbc sites such as news, local weather and sport, trainline, ebay and amazon, some sports betting, autotrader and references like wikipedia.
What I would like to do is Skype calling with my family in Italy, possibly video calling whilst on the move, some youtube videos and the occasional iplayer program.

Don't say you use the trainline to buy train tickets when it's normally cheaper buying direct from the Train Operators themselves, plus no booking fees?
