    what, incase they spit in it infront of you? I know some students may be a little slow on the uptake, but missing that would take the biscuit.

    I have never been handed a cup or crisps in subway they are there for the teking in front of the till. you just pick one up. the crisps are next to the drinks fridge again you say a meal and go pick your crisps up. I think you were a little preoccupied with the student discount being refused.

    I always make a point if the sandwich artist is skrimping on the fillings or if all the fillings are in the hinge of the sandwich or not spread along the length of the bread. the common result is double fillings rather than handeling the meat again as my fave sub is chicken teriaki.

    Even though Subway shops are franchise they should still be up to the same standards either write or phone head office and complain keep hold of your recipt as it will have the transaction details on there and make sure you get the point over it was the manager that treated you baddly. if you write and dont receive a response give them a call.

    Actually no, you are part right, they keep the drinks containers behind counter and they hand you one when you pay, and ask you if you want crisps or a cookie, they did neither. and no it was nothing to do with discount, it was scorching hot, and I had shopping and was tired, and too busy chatting to my flatmate(who also backed me up btw)

    Just to help anyone out who has a problem with Subway, a few things to do.

    Firstly, if you have a problem with the service.. bring it up at the point of sale. There should always be a shift manager or team leader on duty.

    Secondly, if you're still not satisfied ask for a receipt. This is semi proof that you were there, and at what time.

    Third, go to Subway.co.uk and follow their link to make a complaint or to contact them. Each store is franchise owned but Subway UK will ensure that the message gets through to the correct region and then store franchisee. The franchisee has a number of days to get in touch with you and may offer you vouchers or a refund and vouchers depending on how serious the situation is, and what exactly happened.

    About the student discount. Well, this is an issue that varies from store to store. Some stores rely on students and don't say no to any student card. Others only accept NSU student cards and while other part time course students may try it, they don't succeed in getting discounts.

    If you feel you're entitled to a discount, then again, speak to Subway or the Manager. Hope that helps
