As for the measurements, the EA was extremely remiss not to put them up online (betcha I know just which chain EA that would be then.....). Why don't you just ring this EA and ask them what those measurements are? They must surely have taken them at some point...

I'd also be wondering if you were about to change your mind if I were the vendor.

I think it is. Why are there no measurements online? If it is a private sale, phone the vendor and ask for measurements instead of asking to view again.

What did you do on the other 4 viewings!? Two viewings to make a decision, third to make sure key pieces of furniture will fit at a push. Four and five? Too much.

Also, I'd be a bit put out at you marching round with a tape measure but that would be more of an annoyance with the EA for not having the measurements.

When our house came onto the market, we viewed it only the once & put an offer in straight away! We walked past a few times but other than that, the viewing was just the once. We didn't like to intrude on the vendor tbh. Yeh we'd be investing alot of money in a property we'd only seen the once, but anything we weren't sure of, we asked the EA.

We loved it so much we couldn't wait to see it again, but we waited until we completed & got the keys. The thing is, things look different with other ppls furniture & belongings in. Once it's empty you will be able to adjust your own furnishings to suit.

I would just ring the EA & ask them for the measurements, otherwise you may just pee the vendor off.

we've had 7 viewings from the same people!! Its driving us nuts, but, if we want to sell we have to put up with it I suppose. They've been viewing since April. This week they've finally had a survey done. Now we are waiting again for their decision. Makes us feel like just forgetting it and taking the house off the market.

we had two viewings and measured on the second viewing.

We measured to see if there was room for the bed to fit in a different way (vendor had bed pushed up against wall)

we have been to view our hopefully new house 5 times
1st viewing , we liked what we saw so booked to have another viewing the next day to be sure it was big enough,
its a tiny house with a large garden,
we made an offer, offer accepted,

3rd viewing ,we thought it had a few problems so booked another viewing and took a structural engineer with us (my brother)

4th viewing to meet the vender and chat about timescales and make sure he intended taking everything out the outbuildings and loft (all full to bursting) EA told us the loft was empty, when we asked if it would be ok for our SE to look )

5th viewing , we took our son who had come to visit us, he lives 220 miles away and will not be able to visit again until next year,
while we were there we measured a few things up so we can start to get an idea of how much we will need to spend before we can move in (get prices)

a home is the most expensive thing you will ever buy , why is it thought reasonable to spend 1000's of pounds and only look at it once or twice before you commit to buy,

OP go and view as many times as you are comfortable with, if the vender has a problem with it , perhaps something he doesn't want you to notice , maybe it was dry the first viewings but its rained since and the bedroom walls are soaked on your next viewing

The one we are due to shortly complete on we have seen numerous times - all with the EA. First viewing before offer submitted, 2nd viewing after accepted - thats when we discovered the woodworm / damp (condensation) [and the mess the tenant has left the property in!]. Then OH went round with the kitchen fitter and we had a final visit just before exchange.

What if the lounge isn't big enough? I really don't get, at this late stage (presumably!), why you would want to 'make sure the living room is big enough'.

Don't buy a house to fit around your furniture. Buy it to fit around you. Furniture can be changed/adapted.

If you felt it might be too small, it should have been very obvious on all of the last four viewings - surely you'd have taken a tape measure before now if you thought it might be small for your current furniture.
