Seeing the same house 5 times - too many?

Hi guys,

We're buying a 2 bed semi-detached house quite soon. They've accepted our offer and we should be exchanging contracts quite soon.

I want to start thinking about where to put furniture because I'm worried about size etc.

We've already seen the house 4 times, but is it a bit much to ask for a 5th viewing?

It would really annoy me if I were the vendor and was in when you came round. I wouldn't mind if I weren't at the property and the EA escorted you, but I would think it was a bit weird. Why can't you just wait until it's yours?

I think so and i'd start thinking you a bit nit-picky to be honest. We viewed the two bed we're buying once and did a couple of drive-bys and then made the offer. I have viewed it a second time to double check sizes windows etc and make a list of work that needs doing. At what stages have you viewed and what did you look at the four times you've been around the house?

Your sellers will be more worried since they will wonder if you are going to have a change of mind

Are there room measurements on the EA details? If so, use them.

Are you having second thoughts? thinking of withdrawing? I would have thought 4 visits will already hive you a good idea of whether your furniture will fit

oh no, second doubts are never good. If you still feel like this and need a 5th viewing to see if room is big enough your instincts are telling you something.

When we bought our place 4 years ago we did the following:

Girlfriend view it on her own
We viewed it together
We put offer in
Offer accepted
We viewed again after acceptance and survey
We viewed again after exchange

The last two visits were because we were so excited and just wanted to visit again, and couldn't wait to move in.

We were buying a probate sale though, so we didn't actually have to deal with a vendor...

If it were me , i 'd probably wait til after exchange.
