As above - practice to find which word works for you. Common ones are '1 - Mississippi 2 - Mississippi 3 Mississippi, etc. Or substitute Mississipi for Elephant.

Remember start or end with the word too, not both. Seconds don't start at zero, you need to say Elephant (or whatever!) first, or say Elephant after the 60 too.

A very good idea to count down with something. If 10 mins, I'd flip a finger down (or up) but that might be confusing. I would definitely try to add 36 something or others like bracelets/rings you can use.

Good luck! If you're brave enough to do it, please don't think it's a waste of time and back out. Surely if us 'compers' had that attitude, we'd never enter a competition! I spend HOURS entering comps each week but am lucky to win 1 vaguely decent one every 3 months or so. I would have no qualms about sitting still for an hour in the hope of winning a grand

PS while we're on the subject, I remember counting to minutes, etc when in the Brownies. What a BRILLIANT idea to shut us all up for several minutes, and we LOVED that game lol.

Must work for you parents out there! One to bear in mind for keeping them quiet, amused, or for parties

Everyone had been so helpful & I'm taking all the advice you are giving. I defo don't see it as a waste of my time, I'm so chuffed to have got this far to be honest, I just wana give it my best shot & hope I can come back on here on Monday & say iv won!!! U guys are great, thanks for all your support, feel like I have back up now!!! ����
