I didn't need to give TMobile 30 days notice, I was cancelling under their 7 day cooling off period clause.
You don't need to but you did when you asked for the pac code ...which has to be available for 30 days
It's not just about the money

I think I'm subject to the 7 day cooling off period terms and conditions rather than the standard contract terms and conditions. The standard contract terms and conditions state that you must give 30 days notice of cancellation (whether that be complete cancellation, or the request of a PAC). The 7 day cooling off period terms and conditions makes no mention of having to give 30 days notice of cancellation, it just states you can cancel and you'll pay for what you've used at your line rental rate.

The pac code request trumps all other requests though which is probably why they are charging you 30 days.

Why don't you contest it and see what they say
