Because bailiffs are scum and (s)he doesn't wish to assist them?"There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. When it comes to history, it will be the people who broke the law for freedom that will be remembered and honoured." --Rt. Hon. Tony Benn0 -

As I said, I can understand why others would be happy to prove they are not someone else to strangers that knock on their door with unverifiable credentials.
I wouldn't, I'd see it more as entertainment rather than making life harder. I'm happy to show ID to those with with the authority to demand it and will gladly do so.
I won't show it to anyone who simply claims to.
I regularly cycle 100 miles+ non-stop in the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District, that's making life hard0 -

Why are baliffs scum In most cases they are doing a job that needs doing. Unless you think people should never pay their bills that is.
In this case it appears that the lodger is the scum.0 -

You don't get to refer to a whole class of people as "scum" and then get to be taken seriously when pretending that you'll do something as a point of principle.0
