Hi Guys, not sure where to post this one, but thought this seemed like the best place.. Just need to shout from the roof tops that this will be the first time in nearly 5 years that my wages will be going in to my bank account & they will be all mine & not a penny overdrawn
Plus me & my hubbie our buying our first home too.. am addicted to this forum & more importantly am addicted to cutting back & saving wherever we can. We are buying some furniture of ebay, to re upholster & do up ourselves for our new house, which will be much more rewarding than paying horrendous prices for something we can't afford. for anyone that has a wobley moment.., please keep going you will get there

I have just finished paying off my car finance! It was £5300 taken over 2 years. I can proudly say that I never missed a payment and I was never late. I never used any other credit cards to pay it off and I never borrowed money from friends or family.
I paid off the whole finance amount with my own money and I am so proud of myself for finally finishing it off. I'm excited to move onto paying off one of my credit cards next!Paid off my debts, saved up my cash and now I'm finally buying my own home!0 -

Paid off Halifax CC, £660, its a killer and I'm living off all the stuff I dont really fancy in the freezer and cupboards but it feels great that I only have a mortgage outstanding (over payments will mean its gone by 2018/9, 6 years early)One man's folly is another man's wife.
