I've just paid off ............ the last of my loans.
About 4.5 years ago, I was in debt to the tune of c £15,000.
Now, I have nothing but everyday bills (Rent, CT, Utilities, car etc.) to pay.0 -

I've had 3 catalogues paid up in the last month
one more to go and I'm catalogue-free!!! :T can't wait and will never use one again! Also paid 2 small CC's off and potentially another just waiting to hear bk from them (We made f&f offers hence why so many have been paid at once) great thread! Emergency Fund- £717.77

well i have paid all council tax that i owed including the remainder of this years..and i have knocked off £400 off the overdraft
less than £4k owed in total now
even better i have started saving and have £180 in savings
(in savings.....i love saying those words)If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

Okay.... after paying off my Next card, I said it would be ages before I paid off my next debt. However, I have some money in an ISA that was for a deposit for a house (could get a house with my debt, just didn't have the deposit last year), I decided it would make more sense to pay off some more debt and snowball my payments, then I could save quite quickly the money I would have spent. So thank you to this thread.... I have just paid off my highest debt of £2600. Now I have one loan and one credit card left (but no savings)....... I am so happy though! Off to update my signature!Savings target: £10,000 by December 2015!Total so far: £3470.00 = 34.7%

What a great thread!
For several years debt has been my middle name and it feels awesome to finally payoff a £6500 loan last month that was stuck with me for 5+ years.
Will not mention the crazy other ones i have left but will keep updates coming..
Its unbelievable once one has been ticked off the list. I thought it would never end but for those in my position and also what has been mentioned, its all about the small steps and smashing one over at a time then then climbing into the next one and smashing it again!!
