Reclaim lost Amazon music

Thank you so much for this! What a completely amazing find! I now have all of the Levellers' albums (my CDs are all scratched from overuse), some other random stuff I'd forgotten about: Devotchka, Muse, Florence and the Machine, Patrick Wolf and then jokey stuff I'd bought for other people!
My eyes are popping out of my head, the more I read my list!
Thank you!Overpay!0 -
So cool! I've got 268 songs that I can download, including from albums I've bought for as gifts for other people! Which is pretty awesome because sometimes I would have enjoyed the album but didn't buy it for myself too. Pity that the Amazon MP3 downloader doesn't work... I'll have to call customer services and find out why :-/0

Just don't do what I did, and download everything to the Amazon MP3 app on your phone, without checking that the 'only download when connected to WiFi' option was selected - one month's data allowance done in about 10 minutes :eek:0

Nothing shows up for me
I keep re-reading the instructions - I must be missing something... Any ideas?

If you can't remember which cds you've bought you can check on the main Amazon website:
Go to "Yôur account", then "Your orders". You can then search/browse your order history. If you put "music" in "search your orders it will list all your music related orders since joining Amazon!
I think you can then manually add any missing songs/albums using Amazon Music Importer but I've not tried this yet as I'll need to do it on a windows device.
I've found 5 albums/complications that haven't come up automatically so will do this soon.0 -
One album I bought (Adele 21) isn't on my cloud. It was definitely purchased from Amazon and not a 3rd party and when I click on the item it says it includes a free MP3 version. Anyone know why it wouldn't be on my cloud?0

This is a pretty good freebie! I decided to work through all my old orders just to make sure I had everything. Nice surprises, esp as a house move means I can't get to all the CDs at the moment.
Some things I'd purchased as CDs were missing, however. After ages and ages searching around trying to work out how to make them appear, I finally emailed Amazon's helpdesk. Apparently anything marked as a 'gift' won't appear (full reply copied below).
That doesn't explain why two not marked as 'gift' are still not showing - and some sent as gifts are! I've queried this.
It appears the crucial thing is not to mark things as 'gift' on future purchases if you want to receive the digital music yourself, even if the parcel goes to another address.
'To resolve the issue for you, I've checked your account for the given orders and see that all the orders have been marked as "Gift".
A physical CD purchased on (amazon link) will be eligible for 'Autorip' when:
1. AutoRip physical album within an order shouldn't include one or more items marked as gifts
2. The Audio CD should be purchased using a UK invoice address and payment method.
3. Cloud Subscription should be associated with (amazon link)
4. The AutoRip physical album shouldn't be purchased from a merchant other than (amazon link)
This confirms that only the original purchaser of the physical music album have the rights to own the digital copy of the same album. That is why when you buy a physical music album as a gift for someone else, it is not eligible for AutoRip.
Since the given four orders were marked as "Gift", you haven't received the digital tracks for these purchases.'

Yay, I had 1201 songs
Some of them are a total mystery though, I didn't know I once bought a Donovan album - or a Jedward album!!!
I've just bought an iPod Classic so I'm bunging it all on there (just not Jedward.)0 -
Strangely, some new songs appeared halfway through the original download which !!!!!!ed things up for a while because it wouldn't let me download dupes, I had to check them all of on my recent downloads playlist on itunes. But it's all going smoothly now.0
