Facebook message to sellers

I've sent a Facebook message to the sellers to ask what all the delays are. and point out there solicitor is dragging there !!!!,

Is this ok?

I don't expect a reply but I hope it does the trick or they'll have to find another buyer soon.

Why didn't you just get your solicitor to contact their's and chase them up? after all that's what you are paying for. I would be annoyed if a buyer contacted me on facebook.. not really the best idea. The fact that you don't expect a reply you know you are going about thing's the wrong way.

My solicitor has left about 10 messages over the past 2 weeks with there's the estate agents have also been chasing them, and nothing no responses nothing further, ours is doing his job there's is not that's what I have said to them in an effort to save them loosing us as buyers, they should appreciate my efforts,

If I buy a car I'd see the seller, a house is a lot more money and its my money so as I please I guess, if they pull out because I contacted them fair one, there loss.

When did your offer get accepted? I know how frustrating it can be not hearing back, that is a lot of message's to leave for no one to get back, strange. Has the estate agent got hold of the seller's as yet?

That's it we're being told oh we've left a message, then the same the next day no one seems to speak anymore,

We have had the offer accepted about 10 weeks ago, we've been ready to exchange for the last 4, and still its dragging on, we're not due to complete until mid Sept, as that's what they requested, but we want to exchange so that's legal, and we done end up survey and valuation fee's out of pocket and a waisted 12-15 weeks

Exchange is usually 2 weeks before completion, so if they've said middle of september, then end of august seems ok.

Also they may be away, it is holiday season after all

Ok maybe I should have just not done it, but I have, I get that normally it would be 2 weeks but there dragging it out for a wedding and honeymoon, we've already waited long enough it was supposed to be a swift transaction, we came to there terms on everything, now we're being stalled, I want to exchange now, to make sure my family has a home, and has not waisted time when I wait another 5 weeks for them to say oh well actually we've changed our mind.

get the solicitor to deadline them. I wouldnt be happy with facebook either, although we did speak to our sellers via mobile to hurry things along collectively

Ha I thought I was a neurotic buyer (although accurately neurotic as the sellers pulled out). The craziest thing I ever though about doing was putting a note through the door or knocking and I soon though better of this. Does your solicitor know you were planning to message them of Facebook?? I take it there is no way to recall messages on Facebook? Do not contact them on Facebook again and perhaps apologise via the agent.
