I have adsense on my Youtube channel and website, income varies, last month was a little over £500. I get about 700 views per day on my website CTR 4%, and about 22000 per day on youtube CTR 2%

From that income and CTR you quote, the income per click would be just over £1 per click.

Does Adsense really pay that much per click?
I thought Adsense paid pennies per click.

    Youtube yesterday at 20350 views, 2.14% CTR 436 clicks @ 4p per click = £17.44.
On the website yesterday 704 views, CTR 3.56% 25 clicks paying an average of 20p per click = £5.05

    £17.44 + £5.05 = £22.49 * 30 days = £674.70 - actually yesterday was a good day, they're not all like that. You need lots of views!!

I have a collection of WordPress niche blogs and make money with Adsense. If you want to use such strategy I recommend that you use hihg paying niche, like loans, debts, insurance, etc. The competition is rather high, but evey click can bring up to $30.

Depends on the niche subject. I've had a click of nearly £2 before, but the average is about £0.40, with a CTR of around 2.4%

Adsense is simple. You have a busy site and you will earn money, you have a quiet site and you won't.

I ran a forum for 6 years which got very busy. The busier it got, the more adsense brought in, but the busier it got the more hosting I needed so the costs went up. Before I sold it on I was almost at the point of needing a dedicated server at £80 per month, but adsense was paying between £120 and £300 per month. That was having very few adverts around, I'm sure I could have trebled the income but made the site look cr*p.

CTR on forums is historically lower than that achieved with other websites. I run a forum now, and it contributes very little to my adsense totals (but I have few ads).

Regular forum users get used to them and stop clicking. You need to remind them about running costs now and again ;).
