  • Evening

Have been busy Skinty tonight.....found out Perseids Meteor Shower tonight, never seen shooting stars before or any astronomy apart from the moon and one eclipse.....so spent afternoon mowing the grass, getting picnic table and chairs ready, and sunlounger for DD1 (she called dibs before I even thought about it! )torch covered with orange cellophane (to see where we are going without compromising night vision)

DD3 and DS are nearly ready to be woken to come down to watch, so Now have Pizza and chips in the oven to take out to keep us feed and warm while we are outside.

I have done my online investigation (shame that I don't have an eyephone as there is an app that pinpoints all the constellations as you hold it up at the sky :( ) and have been out for a quick nose. I saw 3 in the space of about 10 minutes.

Not really regular enough yet to be worth waking DS up for....I know the peak is going to be some time around 2am, so if they are coming every minute or so, then it is going to be worth waking him up for.

DD1 is awake and ready to come and have a nose with me in a mo.....

oh, she has just come in to tell me she has just seen one and it took her breathe away......

I feel we may all be very very tired but happy in the morning

    see you then
The cold never bothered me anyway

iona.. I am far from slipping through anything narrower than the grand canyon!! I'm not a waiflike thing (she says scoffing half a box of Roses) I have managed to lose an entire 2.6lb having a 7lb baby extracted... (without taking all the extra stuff into account!) Losing about 4-5 stone would probably not do me any harm at all.. but thank you for your concern xxx

I ate a massive frog today and did the filing which has been taking over the house. Finished DD's uniform shopping and now need to return her shoes but have to go to Bristol for that :(. Was going to go tomorrow but will go on Wednesday so that we can go and find the last few gromits. Then we'll only have two left to see and they are out of the area so will need a trip to London with detour to the Cotswolds if we have time. Probably a DH job as I'll be working.
Lots to do tomorrow and we pick up the new (to us) car in the evening.
Off to bed shortly. Overcast here so no star spotting for us. Did see lots of shooting stars when we were in Weymouth though which was lovely :).

Morning all. My list before going to office in York today:

    Wash up
    Hoover downstairs
    Gym
    Bath
    Dust bedroom
    Walk dogs

Will see what I can get done from today's list later.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Busy night last night, a few list things done. I got home from work, let the dog out, put chicken in the oven, went for a run, got home and cooked tea, sorted washing, took dog for a walk, got home and cleaned kitchen and cooked stuff for packed lunches then at half 9 finally had a relax in the bath and went to bed :-)

Feeling very virtuous for getting my run in. Of the list the floor was hoovered, most of the sides were cleared and wiped and the sink was cleaned.

Whew, not sure tonight will be as productive, I can't have too many nights like that, OH will think I'm ill!

    Morning all!
Misty Blue- I do the exact same thing, learning to pace yourself is blooming hard!

    So, today's list-
Tuesday - Living Room and study
    15 minutes..

Tidy up, put things away, straighten those piles - there better already
    30 minutes to spare...
    Hoover the floors
    Dust electricals, screens etc
    Do one bit of paperwork
    Got an hour...
    Hoover/wipe the sofas
    Wipe the skirtings/lightshades and bulbs
Time to deal with something else on your desk or sort out the drawers
    Extra Mission:
Wash your door sausage or make one if you need it
Sort your own stationery, think about planner/diary for next year if you like a 16 month one

Also: walk the dogs, finish off the Epic Laundry, make lasagne for tea!
Today's frog- rebuild the now clean bathroom cupboard and put stuff back in it.

I'm not expecting to get anywhere near all of this done, our home is just chaos, sometimes think every flat surface is a hotspot! Baby steps though, I am making progress thanks to this group and not getting disheartened which is what usually happens!
Saving for my first car: £300/£3500!
