Morning all, DS1 dropped off at football once I found the place.:oHe didn't get to sleep until after 1am because he was so excited, i'm hoping that means he'll go to bed at a good time tonight.
Right I best go make a start on the kitchen, have a few things on my mind at the minute so the distraction is welcomed..:(
GI good luck to your OH.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
What on EARTH is happening - posts are editing themselves?
That post above had a reply to Soappie and alsorts in it...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Valli - I think they're working on the forums behind the scenes as a number of us are having problems posting replies with smilies or quotes in.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Bed changed
Dark load on
Still trying to sort the printer out - I've run it through the cleaning programme about 10 times and now replaced all the cartridges. It's not looking good.
Test baking a small, white loaf in the breadmaker which started playing up a month ago, so I abandoned using it while things were so busy. Hoping it was just a blip, but I fear not.
Still trying to get the dead telephone to work, and have decided to try completely new batteries that I'll need to buy when I go into town later today for a 'thing' I'm really looking forward to.
Also trying to revive the orchid and African violet that look as though they would benefit from some TLC.
Chicken stock bubbling away for bendy veg soup later.
Frog filing is being nibbled at. *Uck*
Not only did I not clean while I was so frantically busy, I now realise I gave up trying to sort out problems. They've all caught up with me. I'm not having the most satisfying of mornings, but at least at some point today I'll know what needs to be given the engineer treatment, and what can be relied on again.Better is good enough.0 -
Morning all
Skint Baby Holly had visit from HV last week for her 6 month full term age. She is whopping 19lb now (Daisy mode has definitely paid off) and a leggy 26" - which explains why I have been struggling with her 6-9 month clothes and why I have been getting Orangutan arms carrying her around in her baby car seat carrier.
She is over the length limit on her carrier and almost upto the weight limit too, so DS's spare old chair that I used to have for the Co Car from my previous life has been brought down from loft for a clean up before going in the car this week.
Gave DD1 my permission to snip a bargain bundle of clothes for DD4 last night. Took DD3 with me on round trip to get DS to nursery and pick up bundle at same time.
Been on ebay to look for a respectable dress for DD2 to go to a friends wedding on Sept 7, haven't got time to order a cheapy one from China, so looking for best option here, she is not conscious yet but hopefully she will like the shortlist I have prepared for her.
Really need to get a move on with listy this week as house is getting out of control, although time to go and get DS shortly.
Ho hum, maybe I should print listy off and drag it round with me today.
Catch up later, Happy Monday everyoneThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Afternoon, I'm in again in my own lurking way.....my own list is for kitchen/diner on a Monday anyway so that's all done. I even did my periodic clean the kitchen floor by hand thing. I mop it regularly but every now and then it needs a really good wash and only getting down there on your hands and knees seems to work. Looks good now for 5 minutes though.0

IK£A trip done and quite successful it was, I really want to try to get the boys rooms as finished as I can before we head to France.
Washing on the line, just having a cuppa hen plan to try for the bus pass again and if necessary phone them up. Then I'll do my kitchen tasks. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
