There is always a choice, but making the right one is the difficult bit. Would you struggle to find another job? Do you think you'd be ok financially if you weren't able to get a new job straightaway?
Meant as a compliment, we should name you Wise Old Owl - name only!0 -

Weather permitting, I might do TL on Sunday
Yeah, would be good to meet another member of the elite.
Not doing one Sunday as its our wedding anniversary weekend. Might convince the wife to look around some instead :rotfl:
You selling at TL?0 -
Evening all :hello:
Not long back from the cinema, got a freebie ticket to see We're the MillersWas rather :rotfl: :rotfl: Nice to escape on my own for a couple of hours as well. Went by A's on my way home to be greeted by a temporary out of stock sign on the JC shelf
Just going back for a wee catch up now...those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I think I would be OK financially for a while, but I am not sure how easily I would find another job and what kind of reference I would get from this one.
It's not like I am not willing to give it a go, I am, but it makes me so miserable. I go in with a smile and promise myself I will try and enjoy it, but 5 minutes into each day, I'm back to square one.
Plus the ***** that will now be doing the job I was offered was totally rubbing it in my face today. I swear I could have slapped her one, or a few!:(
Rise above it, it makes you the better person.0 -

Too true, totally agree I am always getting into trouble, what I think is funny in my head does not translate in written form and is often taken the wrong way Please don't go snap/nerf0 -

But it is taking a very heavy toll on my relative and his family - and its a double whammy as he has to pay for it!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a work grievance procedure that he has had to document along with several meetings with managers etc and he is being shunned - by managers and work colleagues. And it is nowhere being resolved
:(
Im sure it is taking its toll on him, its a horrible situation to be in and i really feel for him.
I paid for it too - to the tune of £40k fighting it with a barrister and solicitor. After having 5 months off work and going through the proper grievance channels in work, I finally embarked on the tribunal route (and instructing solicitors) and that was a further 22 months. it's not a quick thing but Im sure he knows its a long road. I really do wish him the strength and the courage to fight and win.
On the upside, I'm actually fine about it all now and I've dealt with it so dont even get upset talking about it (plenty of counselling!). I believe in Karma.Tiger
I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find0 -
Those of you who are doing the 5-2 diet, can you tell me what you are eating on the two days please?
And on the five days are you cutting back at all, or eating/drinking willy nilly?
I am planning starting tomorrow, I just found out that Im a stone heavier that my hubby, that is not good :-(
I wondered about having slimfasts on my two days, they are only 110 cals each.
Very tongue in cheek - on fast days it appears to be jaffa cakes and on other days, it still appears to be jaffa cakes.0
