Thank you BQ for the info about the Homeplus store at Preston. I made it worth my while going and my points have received a very healthy boost.
I'm extremely envious of anyone who lives by a Waitrose store. I bought a whoopsied prawn and mayo sandwich and it was delicious. I think it was the bread it was on - it actually tasted of bread if you know what I mean. Their cake department (patisserie) was to die for and I'm sure if I'd stood there any longer I'd have started drooling. I was very good though and only had a slice of carrot cake.0 -

That annoying moment after you have painted a door, cleaned up, washed the brush, put the paint away, clean all the stuff off your hands because for the final coat, you forgot to put your gloves on, and it hits you.........you have missed painting one of the panels with the last coat!!!
I have done that too often - I now get OH to inspect before I clean up, he delights in finding even the tiniest of flaws :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

We seem to have spent all day shopping, but it has been a successful day. It's a good job we didn't wait for our chauffeur as it looks as though he's been too busy to bother with us ladies.
I also got a nice surprise this morning as I'd won £25 on the premium bonds (no begging letters please). :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Ive just had the loveliest MSE dinner.
Sea bass pan fried with garlic, chillies, shallots, ginger and soy sauce. With a salad of mizuna, wild rocket, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onion and red pepper.
The only things that were bought were the grated ginger root and the soy sauce. My OH caught the sea bass yesterday and I grew the rest:T
