Problem with netgear wireless

Go here and download the firmware that is marked for UK only.

http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/d103123.asp

save it so you know where it is then go to

http://192.168.0.1

to open your router setup page. on the left there is an option to do a "router upgrade". press browse and locate the firmware file you downloaded and then follow the instructions to upgrade firmware.

when complete go here

ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/dg834gv3_10Jan07_vista_3_3.zip

This will install the drivers to help vista recognise the router. Let me know how you get on...

Hi scooter,

I have downloaded the firmware, but if I press upload on the firmware upgrade, I then get a message "Invalid filename was provided, please enter again.(*.img).. ?? Any suggestions "why it won`t upload"?

DID you unzip it???

It comes in a zip file. if you double click it then windows should open the file and it will show the IMG file inside .. drag this to somewhere then open that one for the router..
