I didn't suggest she's racist, I just pointed out that you can't jump to conclusions about someone's nationality based on their accent.
Perhaps you should read the posts properly before calling people a moron.
I stand by what I said, if I cannot understand someone who has a foreign accent. It is pretty safe to assume they are from another country.0 -

You will need to check with your LA as some schemes will not provide assistance if you've been sanctioned (or lost/had money stolen).
Also apply for hardship allowance as early as they will let you - unless you're in a vulnerable group you will have to serve a 2 week 'nil entitlement' (basically no money) before they will consider paying any hardship money...
This site has a lot of links to the various schemes across the country - it might help you.

I'm surprised a city doesn't have more than one temping agency. I live in a town (albeit a large one) and there's several. Since you must be 18+ take your CV and go knock round a load of pubs asking if they need any staff to cover the summer period. Loads of place have staff off now on summer breaks. Have just finished a months stint of covering people's hols where I temp and they are still taking odd days off to attend weddings and have a day at the coast etc, and that's with none of the staff having school aged kids. Do some leg work for a few days. Good Luck.:)Already registered at my local temp agency's, unfortunately there is not anything in the City I live in. In fact, not many people even bother going there now apart from myself and a few select others.
If I could find a way to earn that, I would not be on JSA. I do have dignity and a strong work ethic.0 -

It seems like very rough justice to me.
A computer entry says a letter was sent and if it was there's no evidence that it was received and the presumption is that once mail is flagged as sent there is a zero possibility of it not being delivered correctly.0 -

A 13 week sanction for FTA means this is the 2nd time they have received a sanction and the penalty has escalated. Perhaps they should have paid more attention to the conditionality of JSA after the first sanction?0

I was speaking to a group of people in my local at the weekend one of them mentioned she worked in our local JCP, I brought up the subject of sanctions and asked her views.
She told me that the way things are shaping up an average claimant would be very lucky indeed not to receive a sanction at some point. The conditionality is such that it's difficult to avoid breaking the rules, and a vindictive advisor could easily make life extremely hard.
One of her concerns was the very real possibility of claimants driven by desperation going 'postal' on staff.0 -

This sanction has nothing to do with JCP, its failing to attend the work programme.0 -

Especially when a percentage of the punters are suffering mental health problems anyway, the reason why you see about half a dozen security personnel before you get in the door these days.0
