At least you have the more expensive item!

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Yeah! I've always wanted one of them Elvis Toilet Roll and Cup Holder Radios for the back of the toilet door! :D

    Thought I'd post an update

Last Wednesday, the seller asked me to send the item to the other buyer, they paypald me some money to cover this, and they told me they had done the same for the other buyer.

I sent the item last Thursday, and the item has been recieved by the other buyer.

I was told the other buyer had sent my item last Friday, but there's still no sign of it here. I would think that even the slowest courier service would have been delivered by now.

I let the seller know, and they were getting angry at the other buyer for not sending it. It's not their fault, they were not expecting to have to do this, and really don't have any obligation to the seller, or me to do this.

I'm really hoping it has been sent as I quite like the item I won.

If not here soon, I'm going to have to raise an INR, which I don't think will be well recieved by the seller.

    :(

Yeah, I can imagine how annoying it must be. I'm guessing the seller won't let his OH sort his ebay sales out again lol.

I've been deliberately ambiguous on the sex of the seller. Mistakes can be made equally by both sexes ;)

Agreed. I usually don't state one or the other unless I know, but for some reason if I do I always put he/his. No idea why lol.

    I've corrected the post :P

Was the initial wrong item sent with tracking, as the seller might use this tracking number if you opened an INR dispute?

No, it was just sent first class. They didn't even get proof of posting!

I'm assuming that if I do raise a dispute, ebay can look at our messages where their liability is admitted.

Blimey! I was lucky when I sent the wrong items to the wrong people, both rejected them at the door, returned to me the next day and I whipped them off to the right people same day.

Pink shoes - that's really sad if they do that. I guess the OP wouldn't be able to defend it either?

  • Very similar happened to me as a seller a couple of years ago. The first buyer was kind enough to post their incorrect package onto the second very quickly (I obviously paid the extra postage).

Unfortunately, the second buyer (despite me having paid them the extra postage) was very slow in sending their package on.

The first buyer contacted me again after a week or so to say they hadn't received the package from the second buyer, so I refunded the first buyer in full (the item was only about £7 inc postage).

I didn't want to hassle the second buyer too much to send the item on, as it was my mistake and I didn't want neg feedback from them for their item.

Eventually the second buyer sent the first buyer's item back to them, but it took them a good long while. The first buyer was kind enough to repay me the refund I'd given her when it turned up, too. Lovely lady.

Just a quick update, the correct item has now been recieved!

But it took a lot of tooing and froing. And the seller was getting narky with their other buyer as they hadn't sent on my item.

Really stuck what feedback to give, I think it will be a neutral, but do you think it will be right to give no stars for delivery and comms?
