Council tax benefit

Thanks all, I have just asked them Dear sir.
Could you please tell me how you are calculating my entitlement?
We were getting 100% of our council tax paid before April. Nothing has changed in our circumstances.
We are on very low income and thought we already applied for help with council tax when we applied for housing benefit.
We have no savings over £6000 and only income of £500mnth from wages and workingTC and childTC.
Please can you tell me how you are working out my entitlement?
How many hours does your wife work? At 24 hours she should be earning more than £500 pm.0 -

Put your details into the benefit calculator here:

This will give you a reasonable guide to what you might expect to get.
From what you say something seems wrong. You seem to be saying that you have gone from having your council tax fully paid to receiving very little help.
Did your wife always work part time?
Before April it was usually people who were only receiving income based JSA/ESA/Income Support who were entitled automatically to full CTB and HB.0 -

24 hours at minimum wage is closer to £600. Does this sound correct?
Thanks very much my wife only work 16hrs employed at min wage then she is self employed about 14hrs week. No profit from S.E. is expected in her first year which she has just started.
We get £116.54 week CTC and£91.13 WTC,0 -
Aslo £134.80 mnth child ben, we have no savings and no other income.
Our housing benefit is less than £200wk but our rent is £240wk for a tiny little box flat far too small for a family of four.0
