    Apart from being harder to work on and clean, trickier to squeeze into tight gaps and just generally more awkward. There's no point getting a bigger car than you actually need.

    I've just remembered, I thought you said you needed a 4x4 style car as you had a bad back? Did you find getting in and out of the Octavia OK? Mine has height adjustment on the seats so I bet at least the higher spec. ones still do.

    Think Dad's mid spec SE does too 11 plate.

    The mk 3 is meant to have more generous equipment levels so doubt they'd skimp on height adjustment
