But then I recalled the couple of incidents of young babies/kids getting mauled by an urban fox that had managed to get in.
Presume the poster concerned was remembering this and is someone who likes to leave windows open, but would shut the bedroom door (in case of stairclimbing foxes)?
(...and..yes...I had to restrain myself visibly from "telling it like it is" when someone recently commented how they feed these urban foxes....DUH!)
As I recall those children were in an upstairs bedroom and the fox came in through an open door, not a window. Many windows have night latches anyway, or they can be fitted.
Perhaps you should let AnnieO respond for herself MITSTM because your response suggests she's a bit stupid.3.9kWp solar PV installed 21 Sept 2011, due S and 42° roof.

Why on earth not, I grew up in a bungalow and until I moved lived in a bungalow with my children.
I live in a bugalow as we type , with a 2 year old and a 4 year old , there needs to be that separation from `the frontroom` and `mum and dad` , i.e there needs to be clear definition sof bedtime etc
Believe me , it might have worked for you , it doesnt work for us!Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

Huh????:think::huh::huh:
Now you've got me puzzled as to how my post could possibly be misinterpreted that way....
EDIT: Wonders if this poster thinks I implied Annie might be someone who would feed these foxes herself?????? I'm sure Annie knows a lot better than to do so.....thought never crossed my mind she wouldn't know not to do so.!!!0 -

I guess every bungalow layout is different, as is every house or flat layout. We have very clear boundaries in our bungalow. And many bungalows can have loft conversions, which aid enforcing these boundaries.
Yours was quite a sweeping statement!0 -

Isn't that more to do with your parenting skills rather than they layout of your house?
