Ahh, then I misread it. But I still wouldn't touch the Ideal.
The problem with boilers is the manufacturer gets bought out and the product renamed, they use common parts - particularly electronics. - badge engineering!
I have an Ideal Mexico that has given 25 years faultless service, at the time it was one of the highest rated boilers. However that hasn't any relevance to current model Ideal boilers.
In the same way people raving about today's boiler manufactured by ****, might find out they have bought a lemon in 5 years time.
Who would have bought a Skoda 20 years ago? Mercedes were ultra reliable until a few years ago, went through a period where they were rightly castigated for their reliability and are now attempting to turn the clock back.0
