Morning all, another weekend is upon us.
westlight - welcome and welcome to any other "newbie" I may have missed. Never too late to reduce those Xmas costs (or whatever you're saving for).
As Sue say, still 16 weeks to go until "weigh in". I'm not sure what to do with my savings yet (Xmas sorted as I try and stay a year ahead). lol
I'll find something to spend it on though.
2 x £1 coins potted this morning = £2.
£466+ saved and with the "part £'s" I haven't counted, I should be very near my target. Hoping to reach £650 - £700 (all in including part £'s) by the end of the November (28th). I'm comfortably on top, so now just a stroll to the "winning line" and see how much extra I can add.
Have a great weekend, triple rollover tonight - that would fill a few pots!! :rotfl:

Very excited that we're on part 2 - and even remembered to subscribe so I don't lose you! :j
This using cash instead of my cashback CC has been healthy for my pot. Lots of little bits of change being potted at the moment - and a wee £1 coin today for good luck!
I weighed my pot today - 2.2kg. I really need to invest in another one on my next spendy day I think. And I'm not going to open number 1 until official opening day. No idea how much is in there :rotfl::rotfl:SPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
2 x £1 coins in the pot, plus my £4 Tesco clubcard voucher (I have put others in the pot throughout the year).SPC No:118:j (6) £468.74 (7)

That'll teach me for going AWOL again, I missed part 2. Thankfully you've all only got to page 3.
Well I have potted a few pounds here and there. But today I am potting £3 in my tin. And £11 in baby ETO's tin. (5x£2 and 2x 50p)
Hope everyone's well. I did just catch that you have been unwell Sue. Hope you are feeling better now.
Well done on your savings Lynsey, that's amazing. Hope you reach your target, makes my £100 target seem a bit measly.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
evening all
Yes, its been a few weeks (3) since I logged in and reported my savings..... hangs head in shame.....
I have been busy, decorating (using old paint), gardening and the usual jam and wine making. Not been out a lot but managed to pot 10 x £2 for the owls head and the usual £1 per day and scrapnel for the vw campervan which is full to overflowing and I need to get myself in the mood for counting it.
remember my german lad who went home in June? well I think I have a girl coming to stay at the end of August. I will update you with her antics as and when they happen.
Welcome to newbies, hope you enjoy our thread, best wishes to those who are poorly and need a boost and 'Happy Saturday Evening' to everyone else because I can!! Me? am sat here wif my glass of elderflower champers feeling "Grand with the world, Granville"..... ttfn

EverTheOptimist - thank you, I don't like to fail on challenges. lol
Seriously though, we all have different levels of what we want or what we can achieve. I'm looking to see the end results, big or small or in the middle somewhere like myself.
mishmogs - elderflower champers sounds nice.
Potted £3.20 tonight, so the week wasn't as bad as expected. A pretty much frugal shopping week (food) and a few bargains picked up also. A few decent days ...................................can't be bad.
If I win the triple rollover jackpot tonight............................first one posting tomorrow can have my pot.
£469+ potted so far.

Hello everyone! I have potted quite a bit of change these past few days. The tin is getting quite full now and weighs 2.27kg, thats more than what my youngest daughter weighed at birth lol. I think I am going to go and get a new tin when I am in town next week, I am suprised at how quickly my tin has filled up actually! xSealed Pot Challenge Member #2806

Evening all
Just spent a lovely couple of days at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC and managed to pot 4 x £2 coins when I got back, despite having to spend some on bus fares which broke my heart :rotfl:
Thanks for the lovely new thread Sue, and welcome to any newbies I've missed
Off to Mums tomorrow so might get some change from the train fare. Also bought my first Xmas pressy today
I know it's mad but was in Stratford on the way home and saw something that DS would like so I went ahead and bought it cos it's unusual, and quite pleased with myself - only trouble is, I've hidden it and it's very likely I'll forget about it by Xmas and get something else :rotfl:

Thanks for the encouragement as ever Sue I'm going to give it a go and see how I get on - got nothing to loose reallybetter have a think what I'm going to spend the money on at the end!

rosyq if you're mad for buying presents this early then I must be crazy, because I started Xmas shopping in the January sales :rotfl:
Ugh I had to open my tin earlierI forgot to go down to the shop and pick up milk earlier, and by the time I remembered my youngest 3 children were in bed asleep. I had no cash on me so I had no choice but to open the tin and send my oldest son to the shop for me. So I took £2 out and sent my son to the shop for milk and then re-potted the change lol.
I can't sleep now, so I had the urge to count all the money! I've just been counting it all on my bed :rotfl: I have alot more than I thought - I have £34.71 in there! I expected to have around £15 in there to be honest. Must get another tin and carrying on potting - I want to have saved at least £100 by the end of November! xSealed Pot Challenge Member #2806
