Sealed Pot Challenge 6 ~ Part 2

I went out, bought dinner and bought some drinks, I have a $5 note and some coin, will probably put the coin into the tin, unsure of the note right now!
I also thought I lost my note tin earlier! I had put it under my bed and I went to put a fiver in and it wasn't there! Turns out lovely DP had put it on the shelf with the others!Sealed Pot Challenger #2080 2013

Good afternoon everyone! I have just potted about £2 in coppers and silver, and 3 £1 coins. My 7yr old spotted a 20p on the ground outside the poundshop and she beat me to it and has potted it in her tin, can't believe she beat me to the roadkill LOL xSealed Pot Challenge Member #2806

Thank you crimson.addict
Yep, I think this year might be a little slow for me. But I'm aiming for the big bucks next year, like you guys! I'm always impressed when I see how much people have saved in their signatures
Off Topic: I hope the weekend is one to remember with your brother and his familyI love coming home and spending time with my mother. It's so rare that I get to see her these days. She offered to supply some shrapnel for my sealed pot, but I'm not sure that would count:rotfl:

Ooo shiny new thread
DS has decided he wants a new bike and will be 'earning' the £144  he was not very happy when I said 'of course DS, just as soon as you hand me £144, I will happily purchase said bike', he thought I would buy it and he could pay me back on the dripumm mummy aint that addled in the brain mate
Today he has earnt the grand sum of £1 going to c0-op and doing my shopping for me, and keeps asking if there are any other jobs he can do . . im not sure he quite gets that im also on a budget and theres only so much disposable income available for him to earn
Anyway some change into the tin from shopping, 2 x £1 coins in the big tub and a lovely £2 coin in £2 coin tin from some clothes I sold on FBHave got 2 other people supposedly coming today to pick stuff up so hopefully more money in the pots later

SB - any 'unexpected money counts' apart from inheretance money so you can count it if she would like to donate
Your kitty is adorable. You can be forgiven for getting distracted
James-mum - does Jake have anything he can sell? Can he wash cars for friends or anything similar? If he wants you to buy it perhaps explain interest to him, could be a lesson well learned?Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Hi Sue, good to have you back. Hope you're fully recovered now.
Thanks for the new thread. I, for one, hadn't realised how big the first one had got.
Potted 60p this morning before going fishing. No roadkill to be found today, at least we got full netsplus sunburn.

Ahh unfortunately this is the latest in a loooooooooong line of items he has 'needed' and most of his possessions have already been sold :rotfl: we did suggest the Xbox getting flogged but the look of  on his face gave the answer.
I have had a few chats with him about interest but unfortunately hes just like his dad and really doesnt seem to care that it costs him more to pay for things over time if it means he can have it now. I've told him that he needs to understand exactly how many hours it takes to earn the things he thinks he should just be given because he wants them and hopefully put the seed in his head about saving a little each month to then be able to afford things when he wants them
His Gran has just rung him up and offered him a job helping her in a few weeks (good solid boring manual work :T:T) which he has jumped at, and I know that she will pay him well for the help (much more generously than me :rotfl:) and I am sure he'll manage to convince her that her car needs a clean at least once this school holidays. I wont let him go round the street offering to wash cars as TBH we dont live in the best neighbourhood, but im sure between me, jakesdad, gran and grandad, he should be able to earn the money in the next 2-3 months (gran will be told its got to take that long
)
