Well done jakes-mum! It's tough at the time, but it's important to remember that it doesn't last forever and you will come out of the other side of the panic attack :) Well done for sticking it out :)

*Hugs to everyone who is poorly or needs hugs*

I think I might be getting poorly too, as I have a very painful throat and difficulty swallowing :( I've had a good 5th anniversary with my OH :) We went to a wedding fair, had lunch out and went for a lovely country walk :) I also had my doctor's appointment today.

She has diagnosed the headaches as definitely being migraines, although to be honest I was certain they were anyway! I mentioned that the last time I was suffering from this problem they changed the type of pill I was on and it resolved the issue.

I'll try not to go into too much information but I seem to be having the side effects of migraines when I take this type of pill, but when I had the other type of pill I had bleeding for over 2 months almost non-stop which was making me feel a bit unwell unsurprisingly

She's given me some stronger painkillers for the migraines for now, but told me I really need to consider a different type of contraception, but the active ingredient in injections, the thingy in your arm etc. is the same as in the pill I was taking that caused the bleeding.

So I'm a bit stuck about what to do and don't really feel like I can talk to anyone close to me about it to help me :o Grr, being a woman is so miserable sometimes, men don't have these stupid problems

On the plus side, I got a very shiny 15p in change from my prescription which is going in the pot :)

Ahh ty Dinglefoot :) yes I feel much better having faught my way through it as I knew if I ran home it would just be 10 times worse next time.

re you pill problem, because my sister had a really bad reaction to the pill (think she was allergic to it if I remember rightly ) they would only give me the mini pill when I was younger (and I ended up with DS whilst on it but thats a whole different convo ) ive now got an implant and I love it, I did have 2 weeks of non stop when I first got it but then my body sorted itself out and now its once evey 3 months :j :j (sorry lads about the TMI).

Might be worth having a chat with whichever doctor at your surgery is qualified to put them in and see if they think you'd have the same issues having it through an implant rather than a pill, and if you did decide to try it you can always have it whipped out if it doesnt agree :D

jakes-mum it was the mini pill that caused the bleeding issue and I was worried the whole time because I've heard of lots of people getting pregnant while taking it. I'm guessing the ingredient must be stronger in the implant though - that's the word by the way. That's why I said 'arm thingy', I couldn't think of the word :rotfl:

Thanks for the advice though. I think it may be worthwhile doing chatting to a doctor about it and I'll do some research online too...I'll just be careful to stick to the NHS website etc. as I don't want to worry myself any more than I'm already worrying!
