Thanks again and best wishes for the festive season...
kiplingmonkey, that really is amazing savings that you've achieved from here and other places too. Marvellous work and very well done indeed!!! :T You are to be admired on how determined you are to be such a wonderful example to your Sons; talking of them, please congratulate them from us all at MSE, maybe they'll be competing with Martin in the distant future! :money:
Did you want me to pop your Target of £200 on the 1st page?
A very Merry Christmas and Happy, healthy New Year for you all and...see you next year!Happybeingme wrote: »Thank you Sue-UU I honestly couldn't have done it with the support and encouragement on this thread!!
Please could you set my target at £350 for next year ~ that's only £1 a day so hopefully I can achieve it!
I've actually got 2 pots as my very lovely, generous Dad is taking us away on holiday abroad (for the first time ever!) next year, we just need spending money but I will be trying to save £50-£100 a month ~ is that too much to add to be included in the SPC challenge as it won't be just the odd bits of change?
You're very welcome, Happybeingme, it's a pleasure I can assure you.
I've set your Target at £350, all the best in achieving it. You look forward to that holiday with your precious Dad and you can save just as much as you wish to take with you to spend!
Have you see how much sparky's saved over the past year?! In excess of £4.000!!!! You go for it, Happybeingme, and have a wonderful, wonderful time and a brilliant time looking forward to it all. :j
It's a pleasure, LeopardPrintsAndTea, all we want now is for you to stay motivated ~ reckon you can do that? I do!
Hi Jo, I see you've had a good day saving, well done.Be careful not to spend too much tomorrow in an attempt to get change!
Not nagging (as if!), honest. I've altered your Target to £120, but it can always be adjusted according to how you go, just say the word.
Please, everyone, check that you have your Nos on your signatures. Many thanks.Sue x

I just counted my coins. I only joined this challenge a couple of months ago so it's not much.
Total for me is £76.35. I am not going to spend it, I will leave it in a biscuit tin and start tomorrow's challenge with a new sealed tin.
Thank you to Sue and Sparky. You have both been amazing :A
Looking forward to seeing how much I can achieve in a whole year :j

Hi there, b_e_g, and congratulations to you also!!!! :T A little short maybe, but you've still done incredibly well.
So, be VERY happy with it and yourself. BTW, it'd be nice to see you a little more..any chance of it happening?
Oh I think so Sue. How about I make it a New Year's Resolution - to visit this thread more often?
Well done everyone on the brilliant totals being declared.

As I only started the challenge a few weeks ago I won't be declaring just going to keep going for next year (hope that's ok). I've already noticed a huge change in my spending habits (I've saved £80 already)and am actually sticking to my weekly shopping budget , bit angry with myself that I didn't do it earlier but never mind:mad:.
Anyway I've decided to set myself the challenge of £1,500 for next year to cover my OU course fees and hopefully enough leftover for Christmas next year.
You are all a great inspiration to me to mend my wasteful ways.:DJAN - £208.56/£250 NSD-8
