A good start for you, shiningfaery. Whoever's been telling you about hubbies wallets? A shocking influence that person has on folk. ;)
I'd like my target to be put up for next year,if thats okay.
its a really big one for me but I haven't done a full year so it seems realistic. it's £50 :)

You've already started out really well, LeopardPrintsAndTea, you're already thinking ahead in a great way, saving in both pots too, which is so very positive! Now, your Target has also been updated to the £50 as requested. That's about a £1 a week you need to save, so, if you can do that then anything else is a real bonus. You can do this, LPAT!! :happyhear

Whooopppeeeee Anna!!!!!!! :j You've done terrifically this time round, hats off to you on such a GREAT achievement!!! :T

Don't worry, hummingbird, we've all said much the same thing in the past, but it's not wishing life away as much as longing for whatever wonderful time it is to come. However, we need all the time between now and then in order to save; so do so as much as you possibly can and you'll be ecstatic this time next year. :grinheart

Obviously far too good to miss out on then, mcjordi, in which case I really am delighted for you. :D

Please, EVERYONE, check that you have your Nos on your signatures! Many thanks.

  • Hello all

Popping on to declare my total for 2013:

    SPC #1653

    £192.08

Really pleased with this as I save my £2 on a separate challenge (£302 this year) so will be declaring that soon too. I also do the £365 in 365 days so have saved up £859.08 over the year if you add the 3 together which is amazing and achieved without really noticing it.

Many thanks for organising the thread. I don't manage to keep up through the year but it is a great challenge to be involved in and I love hearing how everyone got on at the end.

DDs who are 12 and 8 saved £146 and £60 respectively from their pocket money this year so they are really pleased too.

Will be joining in for 2014 and aiming to break the £200 barrier if I can.

Thanks again and best wishes for the festive season...

Oh Happybeingme, you strove to get as much possible and by heck you've done yourself so proud!!! :T Congratulations to you and who'd have though you'd be only £3 away from your Target, so very close! Do you want me to put a Target for next year? Entirely up to you.

    Well done!

Thank you Sue-UU I honestly couldn't have done it with the support and encouragement on this thread!!

Please could you set my target at £350 for next year ~ that's only £1 a day so hopefully I can achieve it!

I've actually got 2 pots as my very lovely, generous Dad is taking us away on holiday abroad (for the first time ever!) next year, we just need spending money but I will be trying to save £50-£100 a month ~ is that too much to add to be included in the SPC challenge as it won't be just the odd bits of change? No problem if it can't be added though, I just didn't want to include it if it wasn't right?
  • Awww thank you so much Sue!
And everyone else. Thank you for all the motivation!
