*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
mucktub86, please join in with us straight away, after all - why not! Also, as you've saved your money this year and are using it for Christmas then join us to count it all on the 28th of this month, it can be included in our Grand Total. That's IF you wish to.
The same applies to other new members.
A gold star for that lovely welcome, little_sweetie, thanks. :staradmin BTW, those e-bay sales were great. Again, far better in your pot than doing nothing! I have to do some one day, preferably soon. Thanks for the jog...and I WILL be with you pronto!
Emily, be sure to have an amazing holiday! :jChristmasCarol wrote:£49 tesco cc vouchers potted today (will account for my cc vouchers separately from cash come judgement day!)
Really pleased that the Xmas food shop will be pain free
My separate holiday fund has stalled a bit but maybe I got a bit carried away. Pleased with what I think I have achieved so far, so trying not to be too hard on myself
Well done with the vouchers, ChristmasCarol, and yes, I'd appreciate doing both lots of saving separately on the 28th, won't be long now either! You're right not to be hard on yourself as you're still doing wonderfully well with your savings. On the contrary, you should be patting yourself on the back.
I'm glad to see you took notice of my words, lynne, not many do....well, I guess I can narrow it down to 2! You'll soon get to know them!!
You're right in keeping focused on your wedding, dinglefoot, exercise too will help no end with depressive months/times as it'll release the endorphins into your brain which will really help us all cope
Helen, it sounds like you had a brilliant time with your nieces and nephews. Good to hear you're safely home now....a lot warmer too! PS, I've just read your latest post and yes, your Target is now at £400. ATB.
Good to see you dropping in, sparky, rest while you can before emptying out day comes!
If it makes you happy, pinknfluffy, you carry on picking up your tin! (Don't let on folks, but I see we've another [STRIKE]oddball[/STRIKE] lovely member here!)
A smart move with the shoes, jakes-mum, lets hope you soon hear from the shop with a refund. BTW, your DH's fine with the helicopter as he probably finds it therapeutic, my DH used to love it when our DS was growing up, they made remote control Monster cars, planes etc all the time. Very intricate stuff too.
Aha! So, the telling off worked then, mumof3plusoh, hehehe, if it has the desired effect then so be it, and well done on the £2. Now stay with us, ok?!! :grinheart50thfun wrote::T Hooray, I've made it back. Not a good year health wise, adventures in hospital etc but after a bad few months am home and saving. Think there is around £500 in the pot but I lost track of it all in May! Lol!
Hi there, 50thfun! It's lovely to see you back, though I'm so sorry to learn that you've obviously really been through the mill health wise. I hope you're feeling a whole lot better now or soon will be. ATB with your pot, don't forget the 28th Nov!!
Good to see you again, Happybeingme, I hope you had a lovely time.Ellie_B wrote:Also counting the £1 coins we have been saving and buying Tesco saving stamps with... Is that ok? It's all saving up. And any £1 coins that go in the sealed pot, get taken to Tesco.
Yes, that's ok, Ellie, and as you've saved the coins in the SPC pot they can be included with your SPC Total, not separately.
You've done well, mynellie, especially with the trolley £1!!! Keep on the look out.
That's perfectly ok, charleybear, and much better in the pot than collecting dust.
Hi Mel, what a shame most of your savings has gone, but life's not easy with kiddies. Yes, that'll be fine to include the stamps as your SPC Total. Better luck next year, and try to keep in contact with us as that alone is far more motivating.
Don't worry, Modesty, you're not alone with memory problems, the older we get etc.....! I was going to say something, but.......!
Save, save, save indeed, Lynsey, I'm struggling here too. It almost feels like the last weeks of pregnancy!
£5.20 in the pot for this week.Keep saving hard, folks, there are just 22 days to go...and never stop saving!
Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in.:grinheartPlease read the 1st post on Page 1 first so you know what's what.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j0 -
Morning all.
mucktub86 - welcome and good luck.
Potted a single £2 coin into pot and 4 x 20p's in holding pot.
Weighed my pot and it's now 6.8kg!! And it's full!!
I had to give it a good shake today to try and create a little space. lol
I'd thoroughly recommend one of those cardboard whisky "tube" as a pot.
I'm being very frugal this week and have a £20 max food budget, but little spends using notes creates change. lol
Spend so far since Saturday (frugal week started Sunday) - 69p on reduced potatoes and £1.18 on 2 x Pizza Express pizza @ 49p each (reduced) and yoghurt for 10p and a tub of Halloween mini-muffins for 10p. £1.87 spent and £18.13 to spend up until Saturday. hopefully create some freezer space for Xmas goodies / bargains and use up some old stuff in the cupboards.
Every little helps. :money:
£642+ potted so far.

So far this month i have potted £12.44 in various bits of random change which has FINALLY taken me over last years total
I don't think I'll make it but I'm going to aim for £800 by count up day. That means £3.18 a day  Still, no harm in trying. If i don't make it i don't mind too much since I've already surpassed last year which was my goal
If i emptied my car i think i could do it in 1 pot lol. Someone at work was laughing at me cause i have so much money hidden around my car. I'm not prepared to do that though since I'll panic until it's all replaced lol. I have £50 left, i need diesel and food so hopefully there will be a little left for my potSealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

Thanks for the welcome Sue-UU.
That's cool to include it for this year. If I get £100 I'll be really happy with that to be honest.
I need to go to the doctors today and have to get the bus so will no doubt be potting some change later.

Ahh Sue, had a reply that basically said 'sorry your shoes didnt fit but with 9 million pairs being fitted a year we will occasionally get it wrong, but thanks for letting us know' im going to stop going to them now and start going to j0hn lewis and buying Start Rites. My mum always bought them for my sisters and I when we were kids and you can see the difference between my feet and my friends whos mums stuck cheap supermarket ones on them so I know they are well fitted. As my mum always said 'you only get 1 pair of feet and they have to support you your whole life so treat them well.'
Im soooooo happy todaymy new carpet was laid this morning and its so thick and warm, DH and I keep walking round on it in our socks scrunching our toes in the pile :rotfl: unfortunately it now shows up how caccy the hallway carpet is, how much we need a new 3 piece suite (which we have ordered :shhh:) how small the rug is for the room, how much the walls need pictures and shelves . . . . :rotfl: it never ends
