Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.

Oh dear charleybear, I'm so sorry to hear your news, but if it wasn't going to work, then you're best off apart. Here's a huge {{{hug}}} for you. You come on back as soon as you're ready, there will always be a HUGE welcome on your return. Meanwhile, very best wishes to you and if you need an ear, there's one by PM - or hundreds here on the thread. Re the saving, don't you worry about it, I promise you it's ok. BTW, your family are absolutely right. You'll find the right man, who's worthy of you, at the right time - you'll know that out when it happens.


Please don't worry, shinner, we all understand when other SPCers hit upon rough times, but at least you had it saved and that's a blessing! You don't need to rejoin next year, we just continue on...there's no getting free from us!

Good to hear you've been inspired, mommyof4, in which case you should come on here more regularly. BTW, to help your siggy, put your challenges 5 & 6 on the SPC line, that'll help no end. PS, "Zerbrochen" is the right spelling for broken in German and "Kaput" means out of order.

We're getting mighty close now, potters, so go all out and save like mad!

Went to the doctor's this evening and I seem to be okay, there doesn't seem to be an infection Touch wood, I haven't been in as much pain the last couple of days

Glad to be home, it's been such a long and stressful day at work again today

Evening all. A few woes around sadly. Take care all.

I potted 2 x £2 coins and 20p coin = £4.20 potted.

Sue - the £2 coins weren't warm this time, so no good for the cold winter months to warm my hands ........................ good for potting though.

£628+ potted and last day tomorrow and then into the final month.

Ahh Sue-UU you know me, never one to do things by half :rotfl:

DS keeps eyeing up my old laptop as DH is still messing around with it, have to keep shooting DH dirty 'dont you dare!' looks as hes terrible for keeping secrets and will happily blurt out to DS he's getting it for christmas if given half a chance

I must say I didnt realise just how big my craft stash was :eek: ive sold over 400 shamballa beads in the last 24 hrs and ive still got loads left not to mention the huge bag of card supplies and 5 tier bead box in the cupboard thats overflowing :eek:

No more pennies for me today but got to send DS to post office tomorrow so hopefully will have some change then

EDIT: ooo just remembered i had £10.90 in dividend paid into the bank yesterday from my shares so will get that out the bank and into the pot, wasnt expecting it so might as well pot it!

Thank you to everyone for your kind words,
I'm feeling much better about it now, I'm sad its over
but I'm happy to have time to myself and to actually focus on my
money goals & other non-financal goals.

I realized my ex was dragging my money goals down as he kept guilt tripping me into spending when I should be saving.

I took £5 out of my pot but only to be used in emergency if anything happens until I get paid.
