jakes-mum - I do hope you're feeling better today. Maybe you could keep bits for a few small projects aside and do them very slowly and only when you feel up to it?
DreamerHelen - Keep a track of how much roadkill you pot in a month. I'm sure you won't feel embarrassed then!
mommyof4 - the word you are using is kapput. It's German for broken.... i don't know why the English have adopted it though..... Maybe we have our own version.... Hopefully i haven't confused the issue lol.
WOW so i had more change than i thought. £17.78 in change gone into the pot also £10 from my scratch card wins. i have a little more change to go in tonight/tomorrow then we'll be into November! Woo Hoo!! So Excited!!

ty ladies, don't feel as woolly headed today but jevus! is the back of my neck sore! doesn't want to go forwards
£4.50 in the pot from yet another FB salethough currently very narked as sent DH 20 miles to t0ys r us to pick up lilys bike for her birthday, sent him with the remainder of the l0ve2shop voucher I won and enough cash to cover the rest. told him to give the cashier the money first and then the card (which he did) and she said the card had insufficient funds on it  so in his infinite wisdom, DH decides NOT to ring me, not to get a bit of extra cash out of the car and see if that would make the card go through, not even to use the cash and pay the remainder by CC, nope! the genius that he is gets the cash refunded (taking 20 minutes and a call to a supervisor) and pays the entire cost by CC! why? just why?
I did get a £15 coupon though (with no minimum spend) so I will get over it, but still cannot figure out why my card didn't work as there was more than enough on it to cover the remainder (I checked it again when he got home )

I know I'm very late - but please can I join?
I would like my sealed pot to run 1st Nov 2013 - 1st Nov 2014, and hopefully have enough to do all Christmas food shopping next year!
I have never done challenges on MSE before, but I was made redundant earlier this year, and money is now a little tight, as I'm now only working self employed part time. However, I am determined to make it work, as I love love love being home for the children etc!
So I have decided 2014 is going to be my year! I will pay off our last remaining debt of £980 overdraft (we still have a mortgage though!), and prove to myself that we can manage and even save, whilst I build my business, and continue working around my family, not the other way round!
I need all the help I can get, and so I hope you lovelies dont mind me butting in!
I am now off to rescue the coffee jar from the recycling, and I will get the kids to decorate it this evening before sealing it!It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

Hey pinknfluffy28 - Welcome to the threadSue will be along to give you your very own number shortly. Please pop that onto your signature. Whilst you're waiting you should read the first page as it tells you what's what and has some great tips. You won't find a friendlier board on mse (or a crazier one) so feel free to ask us or chat about anything
£150 is very doable, it works out at roughly £12.50 a month £2.90 a week or 41p a day
Make sure you keep popping back to announce your pots or just have a look see what others are doing. It helps a lot believe me

Hi everyone
First of all charleybear I'm sorry to hear you're going through such a rough patch but chin up you will survive this. And, yes, I see no reason why money that your Grandad gave you can't be potted. Go for it!
Hugs and love to anyone else feeling poorly or sad :kisses3: including jakes-mum. I'm a crafter too and know how sad I would be if I couldn't continue. Get well soon...
I've been a bit AWOL again, mainly due to feeling rough with this cold but like Arnie I'M BACK
20p found in the ticket machine at the car park yesterday potted, plus 15p change from my purse. Potting has been very slow of late so I hope I can still scrape together my target amount  Time will tell......Sealed Pot Challenge #012
