    helloooooooooooooooooo

Hurrah! bookcase was listed yesterday, bloke came today, eyed it up and handed over 55 spondoolies, loaded it up and took it away :D:D my livingroom is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge :rotfl:

My new laptop is here (and currently being used to type this to you all :D) and a very sexy piece of kit it is too! so much faster though unfortunately the memory card from the camera is to big for the SD slot :( might stop me selling any more of the house as I cant upload any pictures :rotfl: maybe that was DH's idea all along

Also, we didn't get blown away in the night :D and DH is not happy he got out of bed at 11:30pm last night to run outside and strap down the trampoline after watching the weather for the storm to pretty much bypass us! we didn't even get next doors umbrella in the garden . . something that happens every windy night!

Anyway out of my £55 im christening the pot with a lovely £5er and the other £50 will be popped away as im sure we will think of something else we need to buy for the house before long ;)

    *Hugs to Charleybear* :(

    Happy belated birthday Nell!

    And welcome new potters :D

My OH just brought home 35p to pot :) So that's 69p in the pot today :)

We didn't get blown away in the night either. One of the fence panels has come out of one of its posts, and another has kind of snapped at the top. Oh, and one of the garden chairs blew over. But that was about it, so nothing that can't be fairly easily fixed. My windows were rattling a lot last night though.

My poor Nan can't light her fire though, because something blew off the top of the chimney stack and she heard lots of stuff fall down her chimney. Last thing I heard, she was waiting for the council to come round. I hope she's keeping herself warm :(

Extra pleased with my OH now.

Not only did he bring potting money home, he bought me Halloween Babybels (on offer in true MSE style) and a shower gel I like using (also on offer!)

I bet he won't be so happy with me when he finds out the true extent of my online shopping spree earlier :o Feel free to give me a tap on the wrist :o

    Morning all.

lynnejk - welcome and good luck with that total. An average of £20 per week and your there.

e4rub - enjoy your hols. Well done and good luck for next year.

Sue - yes, the "last lap" start Friday. lol

I potted 2 x £2 coins and a 50p coin = £4.50. The £2 coins came out of the s/scan till warm!! Might need more of those during the winter!!

    £624+ potted.

    Lynsey
Sue - Thank you for my star :)

Nell - Sorry i missed your birthday but HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Your day sounded pretty much perfect.

Emily - Well Done on your total. I hope you have an amazing holiday x

lynnejk - Welcome to the thread. Sue will be along to give you a number shortly. As Lynsey said if you start now you will have 57 weeks to collect so between £17 and £18 a week. Sounds very doable :)

charleybear - I'm so sorry to hear about your break-up, you will get through it though, it may just take some time. Here if you need to rant.

I have some change to pot just not got around to doing it yet :(

Hiya. Thanks for the welcome and I will wait for my number to come through before I start anything. Looking forward to getting to know you all and it seems I have a bit to catch up :D

Will be good to get started on a savings project for something I know I'll enjoy at the end :rotfl:

I still care for him. I still want him.
but my family says move on but I know I can't.

I think I've been doing this challenge slightly wrong.
I've been potting a little bit of cash that was left over from
cash that people gave me down the line; Not sure if this is allowed?

Potted quite a few coins yesterday. Coming back in here has really inspired me! Have been very disheartened because had to raid my pot (car gave up the ghost) to scramble as much money together as possible to get a deposit on a new (to us) car :(
Am now in the mindset that whatever is in the pot on opening day is better than nothing!!! Next year will be better i hope!

  • Its because your signature has 6 lines already,
it wouldn't let you have any more then 6 lines :)

    I potted a huge £12.50 last night when going through my purse;
But I'm not sure if it counts because It's a mix between my own money and what my grandad gave me?

Aww charleybear I'm so sorry you're feeling down today :(
It will get easier tho you don't think so now. Keep your chin up, and spend time with people who love you, they'll help you through.

If you're not sure what you should be potting, why not re-read post 1 from Sue? I think you're doing it right tho!

Hope you pick up soon Rx
