Aaaaagrh - has anyone ever completely lost patience and dumped a shop because of the pre-shop questionnaire/test? I've spent 10-15 minutes checking and re-checking the brief and still can't get through!

    Certainly on GfK I have.

Bare in mind they probably just want the photo as proof you went to the right shop, so as long as they can work that out, it should be fine.

Aye, some are checking on shop frontage for promotions and such too, the MF bookies are ones for that.

I had a job where one phone powered down pretty much as I had taken the photo towards the end of a longer route. I had to do another shop in the same area.
I was able to get a little juice on both phones I had with me and found out the first one hadn't saved the photo correctly. So I took another, but I only had time to take it from a bus as it drove past the first shop (yeah, a bit of an adventure) and to put it mildly it wasn't very clear.
But after talking with the scheduler it turned out they needed something to verify towards the client that their shopper had been at the location, so they accepted the blurry photo together with scans of the bustickets for the bus that took me there and the one I left on.

TNS phone shops, jesus, what do you have to do to get served in one of these? Beautiful, well fitted, well laid out, well equipped store. Queue to the door, one poor !!!!!!! serving and the rest of the staff hiding out the back.

I gave up earlier, phoned them and told them they were going to have to tell me the answers.

The bloke I spoke to sounded like he thought the quizzes were as stupid as we do :rotfl:
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?
  • Hi. I am a newbie ms for company that does well known fast food restaurants. I make a note of my express codes every time, but so far (and I have entered 4 reports) I have not found on the express bit, where to enter the code in. I've searched and searched but there is just no-where for me to enter the code in. Is it because I'm on probation? In the status column in assignments, it says 'approved' so i'm guessing it has worked - but I could be wrong!

Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you.

Just noticed, not far from where I live, RA and GAP have the very same small supermarket shop down for a visit. Two for the price of one ;)

Just a shame there's a weeks difference between the dates

When you express your report via their website, you are asked for the assignment number then, after that, you are asked for the express code. However, for some reason, you don't always enter the express code, not sure why. Of all the reports I've submitted, I've probably only ever entered half the express codes.
  • Yes, I enter the assignment number and then 'express assignment' but am not asked for the code. So i may be doing it correctly after all :)

Thank you. You have certainly put my mind at rest.

Just off to read my notes for tomorrow nights pizza!

Have done 11 of these today . 2 reports done by phone as these were urgent bonus visits for them as some one else had dropped some at the weekend, dreading doing the other reportd but having a break first now.
Know at you mean about queues though, most were OK but had 16 customers waiting 3 staff dealing with 3 others.... Was my last store too so couldn't even come back,,, i was near suicidal/ homicidal by the time I got to speak to some one...
