Does anyone know if the travel ticket jobs on ESA have the online option like last year. The only ones I can see are grouped together in 3s where you have to visit the place and book online. I might be missing them , but just wondered.. Many thanks.

As far as I can see they have put the online ones in a group and you have to do pick up a ticket from a station as part of the deal. I suppose it stops 'peeps' picking up all the online ones only, which you could do last year.

That said there have been various comments from peeps about the groups being a right old faff and not worth the fee, unless you are passing through stations as part of your daily routines.

Many thanks for replying. I thought that might be the case, but thought it was worth a check. I did ring them to ask, but was just directed back to the website to see what was available.

It is a shame because they were really good last year and they did seem to appear every other day, so I could pick up some more. I do agree with it not being worth it now though for the fee. It is a lot of missing around with all the different parts that is as you say are passing through anyway.

They were also paying more last year as well. I have picked up couple as my local station finally appeared. Some I did not bother with as you needed a railcard or they wanted to you buy a walk in ticket for a destination which would have been £250 plus for a return. For that fee no thanks...

    Hi again

Sorry to ask about this again. It's about my first Gyp report.
I submitted it well over a week ago. I had the automatic email confirming they had received my report. I was unsure whether I had done everything needed on the website so I sent in a message (I've not had a response).

In 'My Assignments' the job is still shown as "Approved" - same as it was before I completed it. I presume they mean I was approved to do the job.

Is this all ok - is it normal?
How will I ever know it's ok? Do I have to wait until I'm paid?

I'm used to the MF site where you know when your report has been accepted as it shows in your account and your points are updated. I feel a bit in the dark and don't know whether to do another job until I know this one was up to standard and has been processed ok.

How do you guys know that your jobs have submitted ok and been accepted? Or do you not know until you are paid?

    Many thanks for any help

Hello secondhand, this is normal and does take a little getting used to when you are familiar with the MF process as it is very clear and rather excellent I feel. Gyp typically get back to you within 24hrs if there is a problem and you need to reply with a response within their set time frame which can be a problem if they mail you at 2am . It looks as though everything is progressing as normal for you though and although the wait for payment may seem long once you get into a cycle of doing their visits the payments begin to have a regular feel to them.

I really like Gyp now after a shaky start and have been busy mopping up their premium added visits this week in my area as they contact me at the end of each month with what they need doing. Shame they no longer have the chicken jobs though.

    All the best.

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like it's all ok - which is good to hear.

The job I did went well and the questions they ask/what they ask you do to was pretty straightforward - moreso than some jobs I did - so looking forward to doing more.

As far as I can see, there might not be many Gyp shoppers near me - so hopefully I'll be able to wait out and pick up jobs with premiums on like you do. We will see!

    Thanks again.

No problem. I know you have not asked me for advice but if I were to give you just one suggestion this would be it. Don't be too harsh or critical when making your observations. It may be your honest opinion but it is not appreciated. I have never given a false report but it does appear to help if you keep things as positive as possible. On saying that I have very rarely had a negative experience and enjoy doing the visits once I got used to looking a bit of a Billy no-mates.

That's quite alright - I'll always take a bit of free advice!

Thanks for the tip. Luckily I've not had any howlers/really poor service yet from shops so its been easy to be pretty positive.
