That jogger document did make me chuckle, what a joke!
Supermarkets I can understand - staff don't really care what you're up to as long as you keep moving or have a trolley and um and ah like a normal customer.
But some of the other locations!? One a few miles from me has very strict rules on school children (as I expect many do), and they even watch adults like a hawk (it's not the nicest area to be fair). I've gone in there before and been followed round the shop, even though I made a point of not touching or getting close to anything! Plus it's so tiny you could barely swing a cat, it'd be a challenge to take notes at all never mind noticed or unnoticed!
I was tempted to basically pop in, take pictures all the way round (or video - then freeze frame it via computer later on) and back out again, but for that price I'm not risking my account! Plus they won't pay me VAT so even more of a no no0 -
There are two useful tools for doing that sort of thing.
One's technology, the other's bull****.
I like your thoughts on this..
These jobs can only be a 'snap shot' in time as whose to say that after 5 minutes of you leaving they don't restock the chiller and rearrange differently.0 -
I'd be careful RE: CCTV disputing what you say though. Presumably the shop owner gets moaned at if they aren't displaying things properly - or you miss something - if they appeal and complain back to the client and/or MS Company with CCTV stills of when you were there and before/after (the HQ cameras can easily see inside chillers depending on location) then it'll eventually come back to you.
Probably not, but I'd rather not risk it because a few of their jobs seem fairly easy to pickup payment for (they've never queried etc) - but this one seems an awful lot of work!0 -
You have to take at least one pic anyway.0

I went for sheer brass neck on one of mine.Supermarkets I can understand - staff don't really care what you're up to as long as you keep moving or have a trolley and um and ah like a normal customer.
LOL, you can get away with murder in them, as long as you are not on the rob mind. I did a project last year where I did a covert price check of 200 items in 4 different supermarkets, never once got challenged.0 -
I had my excuses of taking a pic ready, to send my brother as he asked me to buy one and I'd forgot which one it was lol. Luckily I got it without problems0

Do folks think it would it be better, rather than removing them from the front page, to keep them there, and ask Weeg to put in a stronger cautionary note?
I'm having a month away from all ms - and going webfree too. But I couldn't resist popping on here before I go cold turkey.......
Hope everyone here has an excellent period of easy shops, rewarding premiums, and hassle free payment!arghhh!!!0 -
I thought about taking pictures as well as the form is quite detailed. The ones on my board are really small shops and will struggle to do this covertly. Hopefully the chiller won't be next to the cash desk. I find out tomorrow..
Well just done my visit..
The shop was basically a 'shack' where little room to swing a cat and guess what the chiller cabinet was dead opposite the cash till and I was the only one in the shop. No way in that situation could you take a picture covertly - I just created a 'bs' reason for wanting to take a picture. Bit of waste for the end client as their product was not in the main chiller.0 -

Yep, the last resort, I've done it once or twice, it helps immeasurably if you're probably never going to go in the shop again.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
