  • How much do people ask for when mileage is offered for jobs?

I usually ask for 20p a mile and have never been refused this amount, am I not asking enough?

I've just noticed that a burger I agreed to do this evening (over the phone) is a breakfast visit.

Am I going to have a nightmare submitting the report?

I've just submitted 2 of these reports, both lunchtime visits but down as breakfast jobs. No problem submitting them but the meal allowance was down, and still is, as a breakfast visit, which is less than the other visits. Still waiting for GAP to reply to my query about this discrepancy

I normally try for 25 - 30p per mile, have been refused a number of times :(
  • Does anyone know how I can see an Albatross brief before accepting the assignment? They have some fashion jobs but I don't want to accept without knowing exactly what's involved and no matter where I click it doesn't give that info. Thanks!

Has anyone done the PIP car audits where you go round overtly taking 'pics' of various areas? It looks relatively straight forward but my guess is that it would take at least an hour on site + going home an uploading numerous pictures and report and would take another hour. The fee seems too low for the work required. Just wondering if anybody else has done this one in the past?

Yup, easy as pie, don't waste time organising and naming your photos, the upload process renames the bleedin things and it can take ages to upload 40 photos.

I ask for 25p, I know my car costs 14p per mile to run so there is a bit for wear and tear.

You can't, it is a major PITA with them, some jobs I just wouldn't fit mainly due to not being their target customer. They also want blood for their not that generous fee.

I've done some. They took around 20 minutes each. Don't take long to write up at all, as they send you a booklet to fill in whilst you're on site, and it has a checklist in it to ensure you take the right photographs. The thing that took me the longest was editing the photos, but I think it was less than an hour altogether.

    What did you edit?
I just uploaded the pics right from the camera.

Thanks, as yes I forgot about that one. I haven't got that one on my page, although they have sent me invitations to do them before so I will see if they can add it for me.

I crop and generally tidy the photos before uploading. It's one of my PITA tendencies :)
