You think the fee attached to that job is a pittance?
I'm sure many here will disagree.

I always think the React fees are pretty OK and their jobs normally pretty straight forward. (No faffing about taking pictures of exteriors). Not sure why a cinema visit may hang unless the ‘locals’ on the books have already done the visit and can’t revisit. There is only of one of the React cinema in my area and therefore there is a limit on how many times you can do the visit. Bit surprised the React fees are thought low given what MF and RA pay. However I am sure there are folk on these boards who are doing high end MS work who will look at these fees and think no thanks –each to their own.

I would say I do all kinds of MS work and I have to agree about React, their jobs are pretty straight forward and pay is quite reasonable. Their staff is friendly and fast to answer mails. I will definitely do more jobs for them in the future, which is not something I can say when it comes to MF.

I find MF staff really good. React don't seem to give any feedback as to why I was marked down!

Out of interest how would people put those Pharmacy type ones down?

Say £3 fee, £4.99 product reimbursement.

£7.99 received, less £4.99 paid (plus paper etc).

Or £8.99 received less expenses (paper etc) so the profit from the job would be say £7.50 or whatever?, since the product may be 'benefit in kind' (is that the right phrase)? If it's the latter as I suspect then I guess the tax impacts don't make it so appealing as say a bar job, unless you buy that type of stuff anyway

Payment system (how much, when & where), free lunch and some reimbursement jobs (if you would buy a product anyway) - yes.

Proofreaders, fees and pointless points system - no.

Their shopper rating system is interesting. I usually get 8-10, once I got 7 when I was unwell and did not recheck my report before submitting it. As long as it is 8 - that's fine, as some jobs require minimum 8 average shopper rate.

If you have young children and need the product anyway, that's great. I would definitely stock up on those products if I needed to.

Just drop Ted an email asking for feedback so you can get your marks up, sometimes you get feedback on your job sometimes you have to ask, depends on how busy he is.

As a basic rule of thumb (and its mine, not HMRC's) if the reimbursement is more than the fee then I am working for the combined payments and declare them as taxable income, I don't often do those jobs but when I do its for something I want, need or enjoy.

My MS diary has gone a bit tumbleweedy (apart from a couple of burgers). Partly fussiness over fees, partly just not seeing work, I think.

    Good rule of thumb!

Same here, although I'm getting a bit too choosey me thinks. Just had a call from GfK and GAP, so have managed to pick up a few jobs over the next couple of days :)

Its not me this time, I'm taking a week and a bit out to move house.
And yeah I'm getting a bit fussy with fees, I can see one or two creeping back up to where they were 18 months ago too.
