Fashion job on the client's portal?

Had exactly the same problem for three jobs since last night. Tried everything. Nothing works. Have messaged the MS company.

    Yeah that's the one.

I completed on the first non-questionnaire screen that gives the instructions and said that I can't close it out.

Thanks, its my first job for them and I was panicking / getting peed off at the screen.

Edit: I mean first job using that portal for the questionnaire.

I had that three times last night after doing 5 phone reports beforehand. I really, really needed a beer job by the time the third one wouldn't submit but there were none, so I made myself a coffee and messaged the MS company. I'd do the same if I were you so you've a paper trail for why the survey wasn't submitted, especially if it is your first job for the company and don't form either way as being reliable.

Does anyone know if any companies have any jobs in airports at the minute? Wspecially a particular airport in the North, named after a former beatle? ;)

MF always have lots of food jobs at my local airport. They seem to find it difficult to get people to do them.

From what understand you can't claim any mileage and other 'usual' costs for a reimbursement only job either.

From what I understand you can claim regular costs for reimbursement only jobs as long as you "don't take the p**s"

So basically regular mileage and printing a bit of parking is fine, come up with expenses to bring the income down to close to zero and they'll hammer you if you get audited.

On the subject of tax, HMRC do some fantastic courses and seminars for the newly (and not so newly) self employed, you'll get bags of information and answers to your questions and trust me nothing is too simple to ask about.

Is anyone else getting spammed by TNS over the phone shop jobs? I reckon I'm up to about 25 now. Since yesterday
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

So given we seem to be using a similar method, how do you actually hold of the expense money for printing, mileage, internet, phone etc? Do you just withdraw it as part of your profit left over at the end of the year or do you take it more regularly throughout the year?

I just have most income coming into one bank account that I just use for MS (as it makes it easier to record at year end) and then all expenses come out of my main bank account - ie cash for gapbusters things or meals on my own credit card etc. And I deduct £5 or so for printing at the year end, as a total off the bottom (rather than job by job).

As long as you can justify your costs it doesn't matter which account pays them.

Not sure I will have any profit this year, bar the focus groups which of course are 100% profit most of the time.

Do they run the courses online or in person? I found this official HMRC video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Als7oyi5slg
