You got sacked for telling the truth??

Surely it can be about both? I'm not doing this because I see it as some higher calling to improve the world of retail.

Well no, I got sacked for not confirming it twice. Well that and reporting a mauled filletburger meal. Hindsight says if I were doing GAP legitimately, I'd use covert video. If I were doing it for money I'd walk in and ask for a GAPburger, fries and a floorshow.

After half a lifetime working in the retail industry, sadly, and for my sins, I am doing this for a moral purpose, money's a byproduct. The best thing about this job is being able to say something good about someone who's efforts may otherwise go un-noticed, for example the lively, happy bloke who delivered my home delivery slapper the other day and was a true ray of sunshine. However, to maintain consistency, morality, and credence, I believe if it ain't right, you have to say so.

It's like I deliver cars to see the smile on people's face when it gets delivered, to see the world and to meet some great people. Sad !!!!!!! maybe, but it lets me feel like I'm working to better something other than my bank account.

Downside is principles can be expensive.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

For anybody interested Mystery Shoppers Ltd are looking for 'Super Shoppers' in London, Scotland and the North. If you open up the opportunities page you will see how to apply. Looks like they are looking for people who can commit to days worth of work and will get priority over other MS assignments. The main jobs looking to fill are 'car jobs' in the new year.

Personally I have only done two jobs for them this year as they seem to have very limited jobs. Be even less now by sounds..

Full on floor show at the burger shop today - never known anything like it. Truly don't know how they sussed me as I've never shopped this branch before, though been in with the kids before.

And I clearly got sussed prior to completion of order as the kitchen manager came over to my till whilst ordering - looked at me, smiled with eye contact, then walked away and chivvied the kitchen along. Asked if I wanted a receipt after all that.

And whilst eating the store manager came over to my table only and asked if everything was okay with my meal. 1st time ever asked that one in that place!!!! Loudly asking kids if they wanted balloons too, easily within earshop.

Cannot figure out what it was at all that set it off!!!!!

Beware if you go to that site! I've just tried to sign up to them and landed with a strange survey, asking all sorts of questions about products that I have never been asked before by a mystery shopping company. I aborted the survey, but it appears it came from a company called product testing. (Not allowed to post the name) I've no idea how I landed up there from mystery shoppers home page, but I expect I have just generated a heap of spam for myself.

Playing the odds perhaps. Single person ordering one of the usual meals.

Thinking of all this sacking from the arch burgers. Just wondering I only did one job for the arch. However, I put the time it took me to be served 6m 35s  Big mistake I probably should have put 10s. Has anyone managed to reregister with them again? Or once you are out is that is altogether? I have not had a email to tell me I have been dumped, but just assuming.

If that timing was accurate then why assume you've been dropped by the MSC. I've had plenty of reports with slow times and all accepted. The important thing is to give any reasons why the times are slow in the relevant part of the report.
