Is this the ones for the aforementioned MSC?
Whilst doing my day job, I overheard a sales manager having a right rant down the phone at someone at another branch telling them exactly what to look for.
A friend who doesn't know what I do for a living works at a place that sells commercial vehicles, they've all had the same email that the MSC sent out with the list of branches and target vehicles.
End of the day, make your own call, but I'm keeping out of it.
I know people who work in the trade and they have said that they can spot a MS a mile away because they make them ask for the most absurd makes and models. And yeah, it was the MS company mentioned above who have a schedule issue. There were also a few others but tbh it seems like a lot of faffing about!:rotfl:Survey Queen/Poundland Fanatic:rotfl:0 -
I've done a few different ones 2 visits and some for another company but not too keen on them. The spec they ask you to shop on some of the cars are ridiculous. I've turned down some once I've seen the spec.
The paperwork takes ages to complete they want to know the best deal cash price a finance quote. It is far too much faffing about for the fee.
I had a query back yesterday about inadequate information they want to know what the dealer contribution is and cash discount on the quote even though I've included it in my survey.0 -
I'm pretty new to the MS business and have completed one car showroom visit. I'm quite happy in car showrooms, enjoy negotiating and felt quite comfortable about it. It hasn't gone well however - I'm awaiting feedback, but may not get paid.
The problem appears to be that in buying a car you want the best price / net price. All the rest is fluff. However they expect you to gather about 15 different pieces of information from the visit and if they aren't forthcoming - in my case because the salesman said he didn't know- and I believe him, then you are expected to present that as a deal breaker. "Why can your competitor give me this figure and you can't?"
No sane personal buyer would behave like that. So it immediately marks you out as a crank or possibly a MS.0 -
I've done a handful of TNS car visits but I'm very particular about the jobs I now do. It's the one job where you can stand out completely as a MSer. The spec and ridiculous questions on my last but one job led the salesman to all but accuse me of being a MSer, never felt so uncomfortable in all my life. Don't think I'll do any more, the market's saturated with Jobs with at least 3 different firms running them.0

Anyone done a GAP drive thru only to find the drive thru is closed as it's being redeveloped?
If so, did you get paid?
I took some photos as proof if GAP need them.0 -

Not quite the same - but did a fast food breakfast one and it was closed. I previously posted it above. I also took photos. They were quite relaxed and said I'll get paid the fee but not the food cost and they'll alert the client. Seemed fair to me.0 -

Thanks for the reply, hopefully they'll be as accommodating with me too0 -
Morning all, I've been looking at the Albatross fashion jobs but without knowing which stores they're for I'm a bit reluctant to apply. Can someone in the know please PM me with the clients (female shoppers)? Thank you.0

It shouldn't have been allocated (it seems that a fair few are being renovated in my area also) but it was being done and not your fault. Likely you will be paid as per normal minus the reimbursement. They may even ask you to re-shop as an eat in.
I drove a 50 mile round trip at 1am for a burger 'special' eat in for it to be only available for drive thru. I did a drive thru instead as by that stage I was a bit hungry. took a photo and went home. got paid in full. :cool:Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Mine was a late night visit too. I very nearly shopped it as a dine in0
