Not as much fun as the nice bookies before the end of the road and before you get to the nice beer job pub one block to the left at the end of the same road.
  • I've gathered from this forum that a lot of people love working for GR. I've got my first assignment for them this weekend at a department store. Just reading through the brief and I need to visit three separate departments, try things on, ask questions of staff etc. I can easily see the visit taking an hour plus at least 30 mins on the report - the fee is absolutely nothing to write home about......

Are you lot sure about this?! :-P

I know the jobs, did one once and wouldn't bother again. To be fair though, most of GR's jobs are straightforward and they're very easy going to work for.

You'll never get rich working for GR, but most of what they do is easy enough money.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

Thanks for the response. Taking this as an opportunity to get a "foot on the ladder" with them as their assignments seem to get snapped up so quickly.

I happen to quite like browsing this store anyway and it fits in with a couple of other jobs in the same area. Like you, I suspect this might be the only time I do this particular store!

GR are a fff company and its not directly going to help you taking stuff you wouldnt really want to do in normal circs.

The only companies it may help you with are those with human allocators. React for example.

Hope this helps you cos there are loads of crap jobs out there you neednt do.

Anyone got any recommendations for a stopwatch app on Android? Preferably for free.

My phone has a very basic stopwatch. The figures are big and obvious and it only has two buttons stop and lap. Its easy to push stop though when you really want laptime. The biggest failing is if I close it down it often resets. So I find myself having to write down figures fast before I lose them. Something with a log- matched to clock time as well would be good!

I think most people are referring to the supermarket assignments with GR, some like the furniture store I don't apply for.
  • Does anyone have a referral for Gyp? I have never worked for them but I can't seem to get registered with them and feel I'm missing out x
