The pubs I've done have all been really nice, but I do check out the reviews on the one's I'm not familar with or know the area really well.

So are the local bookies. So I was gobsmacked to walk into one with the mos behind bars last week.
  • Also, out of interest, has anyone any experience of doing car jobs? I have been asked to do a few but I have a feeling that trying to remember the exact spec and bartering with a sales man will be a nightmare....

Has anyone else noticed the standard of some of the pubs on MF? There are ones in my area that no-one would want to visit as they are notorious! Ten times the fee would not get me in them!

A pub that comes up every month on another agency is so bad, a recent trashing by football fans caused £100k worth of improvements. Note: the trashing was carried out by HOME fans, not visiting supporters. Just how bad does a pub have to be for home football fans to decide it is worth destroying?

I've had a pretty sheltered life I think. Did my first bookies and it was pretty rough. Lots of banter, regular customers, obvious measures to prevent drug use. I tried to say I would not be inclined to return as politely as possible in the report and was asked to change it. I'm coming to the conclusion that some customers really want to hear how well they are doing, rather than where their problems are.

I might drop the ones I've got. Getting fed up with companies doing stuff like this.!!

I haven't done any yet - but have just had the dates changed for the second time. I've had to drop one as I'm short of time next week.

There is still a large number hanging on the site for my area. I reckon they must have used all the available field workers in the first few waves or people got the hump at the number of times they keep shifting the dates....

Well it's been quite a day. MF take away the pubs ands then lower the fee (they can FRO) TNS don't learn from the farcical phone jobs last month (they can FRO) and then a proofreading query from MF regarding a job they paid last month. Those cafes in supermarkets are more interested in hearing how good they are rather than hear about how my food was raw in the middle, coughed over and charged incorrectly for. RA seem marvellous in comparison.

Does anybody do video mystery shopping? How much roughly did you pay for the equipment and do you think it's worth it?

There's some great info about video mystery shopping on the first page of this thread.

Is this the ones for the aforementioned MSC?

Whilst doing my day job, I overheard a sales manager having a right rant down the phone at someone at another branch telling them exactly what to look for.

A friend who doesn't know what I do for a living works at a place that sells commercial vehicles, they've all had the same email that the MSC sent out with the list of branches and target vehicles.

End of the day, make your own call, but I'm keeping out of it.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

That's ridiculous isn't it. I've never done one of those best price car jobs as it's not my scene.
