they sent me a letter today so i gave them a ring and got the deal of free installation, sky + for £49and sky movies/sport +6 mixes for half-price for 12 months. thank-you for the original poster

Unfortunately, AVC the company sky have appointed to deal with installation and contract have told me I have to pay installation, they say they have checked with Sky and that what I am asking is for is an old offer. I told them that this isn't so, and they have now referred me back to Sky. I really don't think I can be bothered with it. I was prepared to pay half price for Sky+, and then sign up for half price of two mixes at £7.50. But I am losing the will. I have lost the letter from Sky although they do have a record of sending me one with the offer.

Hi - are you being charged installation? I spent ages to 3 different people at sky, who all told me that I had to pay. I then spoke to the retail support people (the number on the letter) who immediately knew what I was talking about and said I should have been told that the installlation charge would appear but would definitely be refunded via a credit on my account (ie the first payment would be less the £30. He told me to check the sky account in a few days and it would show.

Because they haven't received my direct debit info filled in yet, my account is not available but I've got his details (Brian in retail support) if this helps.

I'm interested in a SKY deal for tv/broadband/phone I'm looking at the basic package for Tv may be £15 + rest.

what will sky offer me in terms of deals ?.

I got this deal. Now I am looking to add sky broadband. Has anyone successfully ordered broadband after they started this deal? I am worried that it will invalidate the half price deal and I will end up paying full price if I get the broadband. Does anyone know where I can sign up for sky broadband online? When I have tried the only way I can do it is as part of a TV package which I already have and as stated really don't want to change.

Finally had my sky fitted, 6 weeks after placing the order with simply digital :T
I never recieved a letter from sky, i got the sky phone number off simply digital themselves.
I phoned sky a couple of times, 1st time i spoke with them, they said it was staff only offer and shouldn't have been on the net and i shouldn't have been able to have access to it - (how many customers will have agreed and put the phone down disappointed?:mad:) - but i fought my corner and after another phone call, they asked me what box i wanted !! Took me by surprise, was expecting another heated phone call lol

If you've ordered through simply digital and have a reference number, then phone sky 0870 24 000 24 - and installation is FREE
