This may be naive but is simplydigital a kosher site?
Theoretically they could phone me from the info I have given, say they were sky and ask me for my debit card details for the £49 sky+ box.0 -
Sky + Offers Are About With Free Sky + Box And Install But The Boxes Are Refurbs And Can Vairy From Day To Day On What You Get, I Install Them And Some Days Take Out
* Pvr 2 Boxes In A Brown Box Which Does Not Have Sky Anytime And Only 20 Hours Recording
Or
*pvr 3 Boxes That Look Like New Boxes But Have A Red Sticker On Them These Have The Ful 40hours Recording And Anytime.
Sometimes The Refurb Boxes Are Better Than New Because The Faults Have Been Found,
All Boxes That An Engineer Has Are Allocated To Each Job And What He Give You Is What Has Been Allocated To You So Sorry He Cant Swap It If You Ask.0 -

Simply Digital are a reputable firm and probably the first place people go when purchasing anything satellite TV related.

Got mine fitted today so it was a great deal glad i went for it.I did have to phone sky though as i lost the picture but they were very helpful and it turned out to be a falty scart lead. my sky+ box was brand new aswell but i did'nt realise box would be so big and white though.Number 4 due 21st jan0

Well success! Thanks to everyone concerned. (fuller thread on this offer is on hotukdeals)
A few points that may be of interest :
1) Called Sky and said that we had a message left on our answer machine ref the simply digital offer and could they put it through (I made this up)
2) I called at 8.40 and a guy asked if the order was in my name or my wife's (it was in my wife's because we had Sky in my name before - cancelled in Feb) so they needed to speak to her but she wasn't around so they asked us to call back.
3) Called back at 9.30 with my wife but was told all systems down until tomorrow
4) I then redialled and spoke to a really nice guy who said we could put it in my wife's name but he didn't need to speak to her or anything - took all my details and put it through. Their system had miraculously fixed itself in 15 seconds!
5) At no point was I asked for my simply digital order ref - I only mention this because I'm not sure they knew we had pre-ordered it before the deadline - ie this may still be available to others who did not register
6) If you want the HD box, then you have to sign up to the HD at £10 per month (no half price here!) for a full 12 months - I was originally going to get the HD box but not pay the extra £10 until later in the year.

When i called back i was told offer had closed? Then i called again and they said systems were down. Third time i was told they would call back. Still waiting, erm any chance now or can i go to bed?? lol
Seriously though, any help or advice would be fantastic as i'd hate to miss out, got the bt connection arranged and fed up with Virgin.

I too ordered 10 days ago and simply digital told me not to worry about it being past the closing date as i ordered well before (kept emails as proof). I tried to post a link to hotukdeals for you but their site is down at mo so if you have a look on there later on and search for half price sky offer, there is a huge thread about how people are getting on etc, seems sky been havign lots of probs this week. That's because the offer ended on the 19th June.
My wife ordered on Monday, not heard anything at all yet. Was surprised that the website didn't ask whether Sky+ or HD was required and that the website didn't take any payment.0 -
I ordered this offer back in april...GOD BIG MISTAKE !!! I had additional box which was already installed, my main tv was all connected but my additional box NEVER WORKED despite sky saying I needed a new card after SEVERAL EXPENSIVE TELEPHONE 0870 calls , I waited for my FOURTH CARD TO BE SENT OUT still didnt work, Then I received a bank statement they had taken £40something out the bank NOT THE HALF PRICE WE HAD AGREED, I got the bank to refund my charge £40+
I put it in writing to sky...NOTHING NO REPLY just getting bog standard letters I owe them £40+
The BIG PROBLEM I have now is I agreed to the free telephone calls, Now I am unable to ring any outside numbers this is been the case since APRIL I am banging my head against the wall, I have no land line to ring them 0870 GGGRRrrr.....they have blocked my land line, I have emailed BT but still waiting for response....
Any advise pleaseI would love to be a Travel Agent :j0
