E-bay buyer has 2 different addresses

Options
Hi, I am an occasional seller, and have just sold an item. I have printed the address of the buyer from the Paypal e-mail I received. I now find that his e-bay address is different altogether, both are confirmed addresses. What do I do please?, refuse to send, and cancel the sale?. I rang e-bay CS, and she said I must send to the Paypal address, help.

If you want paypal seller protection then you need to send to the paypal address.

Check out the postage 'sticky' thread.

    As soonlin's post.

If you want to be absolutely sure, contact the buyer and get them to confirm which address. Refunding if they want to change and asking them to pay again adding in the correct address.

If you aren't going to send it tracked, then there's little point, other than if you feel they may do a chargeback in the future, in which case the Paypal address and a COP would protect you.

But read the sticky and make a judgement.

They aren't always right, but why bother asking if you weren't going to believe them?

The Ebay address is the registered address, all buyers get an option to use any address on checkout, this is the one that is sent to Paypal and on to you, thus it is the address you should send to.

For Paypal Protection then you must send to a confirmed address on their paypal account.

If they want you to send to another address and anything goes wrong you wont be protected, so you just ask them to add the address to their paypal account and get the address confirmed by Paypal

It does not have to be confirmed.

Protection doesn't stop at sending to the address on the Paypal transaction, you would do well to read the postage sticky before giving incorrect advice!
