well update time, I rang to cancel and got a really nice girl who reduced my subscription from £43 per month to £25, for a year so have accepted this meantime, will look into a freesatbox later in the year...but thanks guys for the info..video senders seem to be the way to go.0

JimmytheWig - No - I'm under the impression that they are recording stuff in one room on one box, then watching that stuff from the one box, in different rooms around the house.
Cancelling the subscription reverts you to Freesat From Sky as you say, at which point you LOSE recording, so that's a no go.
Kurtis - thanks. HD senders certainly coming down in price and will hopefully soon be affordable. Just going IP and using good WiFi would help!0
